Psycho..more.

The news just keeps on getting worse for Ursula, Macron and co.

"The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the use of the Astrazeneca/Oxford University vaccine for use by countries around the world, with a 8 to 12 week interval between two doses.

In a major snub to European countries that have applied age limits to the vaccine, WHO said there was enough evidence to recommend vaccines to “all people 18 years and above without an upper age limit”.

“The results of the efficacy estimate for persons up to 65 and older had a wide confidence interval, and therefore we feel that the response of this group cannot be any different to groups that are of a younger age,” WHO said.

Trial Authorization Vote Signals That Senate Will Acquit Trump.

Forty-four Republicans voted against proceeding with the trial against former President Donald Trump, the clearest signal yet that the Senate will ultimately acquit the president of the impeachment charge against him for a second time.

Three Republican senators signaled on Tuesday that the vote is a barometer for how many senators will vote to acquit the president when the trial is over.

“I’ve got to believe that it’s going to be highly unlikely that there’ll be anywhere near enough for conviction,” Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) said, according to The Hill. “It takes some mental gymnastics to on the one hand consider this to be an unconstitutional action, on the other hand, to consider conviction is part of it.”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) said he would be “very surprised” if any Republicans changed their minds during the trial.

“If you feel that you have no authority, then you can’t go on and say ‘well we have no authority but I guess I’ll go ahead and convict anyway,’” Hawley said, according to The Hill. “I’d be surprised if many or any of those people change their minds on the underlying question of whether or not to oppose a penalty or not.”

Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) said the Tuesday vote was a predictor for the ultimate outcome.

“I think just like the one a couple of weeks ago was,” Braun said, according to The Hill.

Tuesday’s vote mirrors one cast last month when 45 Republicans voted to declare the trial unconstitutional.

GB News...Emily Sitch10 Feb 2021 4:20PMI have been watching Andrew Neil in his Spectator YouTube broadcasts. I get more information from him than I would from the BBC or Sky. We need a different news outlet just to provide a different voice. I don't feel patronised or lectured to when I watch Andrew's show. I even learn something new some times. I wish the BBC would stop patronising it's audience. I used to like the BBC but I can't stomach most of its output anymore. I am on an educated woman who can make up her own mind. I definitely don't feel like they are addressing me...Daily Telegraph

Good to see the WHO has come out in significant support for the Oxford/AZN jab. At the very least this is an invitation for the EU to reconcile its own approval via the EMA with the actions and comments of many of its largest members.

Otherwise, the danger remains that the average European wonders if there is actually a functioning government in Europe. And stuck with the current leader for a few more years.

So far, U.K. acceptance rate of the vaccine is headed for over 90% whereas it is feared it will not surpass 50% in France. Macron has played a blinder - his comments can hardly have given this number a positive nudge, can it?

Lefrene, for some reason you have commented frequently on the Repo seizure of last year. What is your source for the hugely negative consequences you believe will result from this?

Your opinion?
The Fed?
Zero Hedge?
The Beano?

Or even Twitter?

Just curious.

Lloyd's dividend. This one is special. Not just any old dividend. It is a Flag Dividend. It is saying which way the company is going. Partly is it a real public company or just an appendage to government whim and diktat. So this is a special. It isn't just about money. The philosophy and direction is being watched. Not any dividend. Not this time.

Poikka, that asthma treatment was given to a relative of mine in Bristol in November 2019, he recovered in a couple of days. That of course was before the government needed a smokescreen to hide whatever it is they're hiding, which I believe to be the biggest ever banking crash that came to light with the stalling of the Repo-Market on 17-9-19

BBC urged to switch off Sturgeon after she vows to continue briefings in election run-up

Impartiality row as First Minister suggests she will continue to front daily briefings as Holyrood election approaches

The BBC has been urged to axe Nicola Sturgeon’s TV briefings in the run-up to the Holyrood election after she revealed that she has no plans to abandon the format.

The First Minister said on Tuesday that she will “continue to do my job” when asked whether the coronavirus press conferences, which are currently broadcast in full, would carry on once strict pre-election rules kick in.

The BBC’s rules state that “special considerations apply” over impartiality during election campaigns and opposition parties believe Ms Sturgeon continuing to have an hour-long broadcast on most days will be unfair.

(Alliance News) - A common asthma treatment dramatically cuts the need for Covid-19 patients to go to hospital, a study suggests.

The new research, from Oxford University, also found that the drug budesonide reduced recovery time if people were given the inhaler within seven days of the onset of symptoms.

The findings from 146 people suggested that inhaled budesonide – a corticosteroid sold under the brand name Pulmicort by AstraZeneca PLC – cut the risk of requiring urgent care or hospital treatment by 90%.

Those on the inhaler also saw symptoms such as fever fade more quickly.

Half of those on the trial took 800 micrograms of the medication twice a day while the other half were given usual care.

Professor Mona Bafadhel of the University's Nuffield Department of Medicine, who led the trial, said: "There have been important breakthroughs in hospitalised Covid-19 patients, but equally important is treating early disease to prevent clinical deterioration and the need for urgent care and hospitalisation, especially to the billions of people worldwide who have limited access to hospital care.

"The vaccine programmes are really exciting, but we know that these will take some time to reach everyone across the world.

"I am heartened that a relatively safe, widely available and well-studied medicine such as an inhaled steroid could have an impact on the pressures we are experiencing during the pandemic."

Oxford said the trial was inspired by the fact that patients with chronic respiratory disease, who are often prescribed inhaled steroids, had appeared less likely to be admitted to hospital with Covid-19.

Got my invitation for a jab today. As soon as the weather improves i'll go and get mine. It's certainly safe enough - whether it does as described is another matter. It probably helps, but certainly it's not the 98% efficiency it's being sold as.

The reason for the above is due to the accelerated testing, from 10 years down to 9 months. To do that, the mhra gave instructions for the phase 2 and 3 procedure to concentrate on safety not efficacy. So the 9 months of data the phases were based on were a much less base from which to extrapolate the overall effects. The real efficacy is 98% +-70% imv (whereas a ten year phase 3 would produce a result like 98% +- 5% , i.e. sufficient data to lower the expected error).

Get the jab because it won't harm you (probably), and it may do a bit of good or a lot of good or a medium bit of good.
