a vaccine that isnt a vaccine, doesnt work, doesnt stop transmission, and is an experiment and injures and kills people cannot give herd immunity

only the natural way girls.

but the WHO have changed their definition of herd immunity .as of last year you have to be vaccinated to get herd immunity

Virology and much more turned completely on its head

funny that.

CP, your point about Kate Bingham is spot on. It was not easy for her to do what she did, and I sincerely hope the U.K. government is able to replicate this in other areas by learning lessons for her experiences.

Oxford, you know! They’ve had a busy pandemic.

Basically, Staley is unfussed by Paris and Frankfurt. It’s worth recalling how weak the European banks remain and still how fragile the entire banking system is. It is not a great springboard from which to expand business. Even if they had the knowledge base, which they don’t.

What European banks have in their treasuries is not pretty. Very Euro-centric as they believe it is the safest strategy to follow. So lots of Italian bonds (BTPs) everywhere which keeps them hostage to a poor credit. The only reason Italian credit spreads are not high is because the market assumes Germany will have to come to any required rescue.

As for the talent in European banks - utterly useless. You only have to look at German banks to understand this. A lot of criminal activity there too. As for French banks, they are better. The problem they have is that French bankers are very technocratic and pretty bright, except they are not as bright as the amount of risk they take - and then promptly blow up. Not only do they blow up their own French banks, but amusingly often is the occurrence of French bankers blowing up non-French banks where they were employed. It’s quite remarkable.

U.K. will lose some business to Europe, but not much.

...not pure luck...stroke of genius putting Venture Capitalist Kate Bingham to head up vaccine devpt./approvals at risk and Nadhim Zahawi for roll out.

Could not have happened in the EU...indeed didn't.

I suspect the reason that they are weeping is because they realise that they are left behind, and feel hurt about it.

The tide will turn soon psycho and Gecko....it'll no longer be 'cool' to support the EU or bash brexit. People will move on and get swept along in Boris's post vaccine / brexit prosperity that is there for the taking, or otherwise get left behind.
