Stephen Allsop5 Feb 2021 2:34PM@G J EdwardsI could spend a long time explaining it to you, but I have made positive points to you and threads you are on, but EU religion will not allow you to 'see'.Flip it over, now those who have said the UK would not sign Goods trade deals with non-EU countries, the City would leave for the EU in droves, and the UK economy would be in a perpetual recession from the day after we voted to leave were so wrong. So what was the point of our 'expensive' EU membership, when can be replaced by a FTA with some 'frictions' we will get used to?The UK joined the EU for so called 'free trade' 48-years ago, but the EU is now very different, it puts politics first on its way to an ever more Brussels centric Federal States of Europe. In that alone, WHY would the UK want that?..Daily Telegraph

UK finance should ignore threat from EU, Barclays boss saysJes Staley says the City should compete with New York and Singapore rather than Frankfurt and ParisBySimon Foy5 February 2021 • 8:19amThe City of London should ignore the post-Brexit threat posed by the EU and focus instead on competing with major financial centres in New York and Singapore, the boss of Barclays has said. Jes Staley, a former Wall Street banker, said the UK's departure from the EU would most likely be "on the positive side" for the City but its focus should now be international."What London needs to be focused on is not Frankfurt or not Paris, it needs to be focused on New York and Singapore," he said on BBC Radio 4's Today programme... So the Oxford/AZN is now seen to protect against the Kent variant (75%). France has the variant, if not the vaccine. Anyway, who in France wants to take this vaccine that their president thinks so useless?

Apparently it was all the nice people running off on holiday without a moment’s thought AND the lovely people eating out to help out who caused Wave 2.

At that time we were told Covid 19 was not mutating like a flu virus and news of variants in Denmark, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, etc. was suppressed.

Apparently life is going to normal by summer .... ready for Wave 3?

Do you believe what the Government is telling you?

Is that why after a year the Government is going to huge new expense in setting up quarantine hotels for travellers?
