19/1/2021 15:46 | .... But it is likely to be the Covid pandemic that provides the most compelling early justification for the UK's newfound Brexit freedom to articulate its own foreign as well as domestic policy. Readers will recall that soon after the Covid pandemic struck, the UK government was urged by Remainers to throw in its lot with the EU vaccination programme. It is becoming increasingly clear that such a course of action would have been disastrous for the UK both in terms of lives lost and economic damage. The EU programme has been mis-managed, with too few vaccines ordered and an odd (or perhaps predictable, given the way the EU works) decision to bet on a French pharma solution that looks unlikely to be ready before the end of this year. With the costs of the UK government response running to billions of pounds per week, the reduction in economic damage resulting from rapidly getting control of the virus will be significant. Meanwhile, tensions between EU member states on the issue have become palpable with the Germans ignoring EU Commission strictures and going ahead with unilateral vaccine purchases. The costs associated with a failed EU Covid strategy will only add to the already worrying stresses in the EU financial system (always underplayed by Remainers) associated with the flaws of the Euro project with Moody's warning on 11 January of increased vulnerability to debt shocks in Italy, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal.... 19/1/2021 14:15 | Julian Marc Dunkerton (born March 1965) is a British businessman, and the co-founder of the fashion label Superdry. A hardcore whiney Remoaner. Disrespected Democracy Karma "Fashion brand Superdry tumbled after it warned over its ability to continue as a going concern, reporting a widening of its interim losses and a slump in revenue as it took a hit from the pandemic and related store closures." Feel sorry for the workforce but maybe time for Julian to stump up and make sure all are protected, in full, pension side out of his own fortune. | ![]() geckotheglorious
19/1/2021 14:02 | Democrats cheated to win the presidential election. “Baseless allegations of election fraud” is a lie offered by the liberal media. The easiest voter fraud to identify and convict is double voting by people who moved and voted for their old registration and voted again on their new registration. Graveyard ballots: registering then voting names of dead people identified by community organizers. Election machines rigged to favor one candidate. Absentee voters who moved and requested ballots for their old address. Volume printing and voting mail-in ballots. Fourteen states have identified and charged over 100 election felons since Nov. 4. Democrats claim winning by cheating is legitimate policy. Gary Miller Texas City | ![]() stonedyou
