And particularly blame Ted Heath. Something evil about that man.

4. Jim Harris , Sunday, January 17, 2021, 10:53:Of course it is. They demanded that we depleted our fishing fleet, and moved their trawlers in. Just one of the reasons we needed Brexit. We have five years to build trawlers and catch our own fish instead of paying them for our own fish. If you want to blame someone, look at John Major and Tony Blair.

I'd hardly call the US Democrats 'left' but do continue. You simpletons are amusing.

American Politics has never been more popular with the left because they're not really represented in England & Wales. The BBC will be all over Biden.

There is plenty of coal around the UK if one wants it. Sheffield could have continued to be strong in steel if we had wanted it to be. Funny how we can open a new coal mine in Cumbria now that it suits 'us'. We have been subsidizing the wealthy since time began and is viewed by the morons as an end in itself.

Personally I cant get overexcited about American politics but had to smile when I read a headline in the Guardian of the far left that 'Trump supporters had been radicalised by the far right'. I thought there may be a few on here who would have something to say about that.

Not silver, I'm referring to the tin mines. Some had rather large investments as late as the '90s if I remember correctly. Of course, prices of commodities have collapsed with globalisation but other countries, including those in the EU like France, don't seem to have a problem protecting their industry like we do. It is almost as if we positively enjoy the destruction of our ship building, steel, automative and other heavy industries. I wonder why? (Actually, I know why)

By my reckoning that means 1 of every 12 or so positive tests ends up in hospital and 1 in 25 ends up dead. Thats not what we have been led to believe is it?

I wonder which government was the nail in the coffin for many of those mines?

Has Boris forgot or does he rely on the ignorance of the UK public?

I've been to some of those mines including the last one to have substantial investment back in the day.

Cornwall has just been announced as the G7 summit location in June. I doubt there will be embarrassing protests by the right that so let down the Left and portrayed the UK in such an abysmal light when the last US president visited GB. Talk about Neanderthals lol!

Probably a vegan.

No, actually, but have been in the past. Anyway, so what if I am? Neanderthals will soon realise that most humans will need to be vegan, or at least vegetarian, going forward. We can't all be hunter gatherers!

LOL!

Details are emerging of a raft of executive orders planned by US president-elect Joe Biden as soon as he takes office this week.

Mr Biden will issue decrees to reverse President Trump's travel bans and re-join the Paris climate accord on his first day, US media reports.

Hurray Hurray!

GO JOE!

Inferior education system means people grow up lacking the critical thinking skills to analyse the issues and elect the best (or least harmful) government.
