Newspapers employ people to write columns specifically meant to enrage the readership.

90% of what Minerve writes is in this category. And of course the thread gets very dull when he needs a day off to recover from his excesses.

Minerve 2,

I have and I see a lot has been edited out. 👍

Have a good day. Life is too short

I am of the opinion a lot of what you post is for entertainment. So no offence taken.

Cheers

UI #034. That response was unnecessarily harsh IMO. Not your usual style.

Ignoble, Msr Barnier is of the opinion that whilst the seas around the UK are undoubtedly the UK's, the fish in those seas are another matter entirely. Thus presumably Msr Barnier would be quite happy for you to tour Northern France with a cattle truck helping yourself to any livestock you might see in the fields, as whilst without doubt the fields belong to France, but the livestock in them are another matter....................One suspects that Msr Barnier might sing a different tune.

The EU, a device for Germany to extract the wealth of member nations, whilst having the French act as their willing errand boys.

Minerve is right(!) about the Carrie situation. It's the downside of an old man getting a younger bird so he can show off to this friends.

Rachel Thompson9 Nov 2020 11:56PM"... applaud the essential services..."I might be alone in this one but I do not applaud essential service workers for doing their jobs that they are lucky to have whilst many more are trying to figure out how to pay the bills.  There are signs all over here that say, thank you health care workers, you are heros.  I was in medicine, I knew, we all knew the potential dangers of the job, to call me a hero is insane. There is no rhyme or reason for what is essential or not, it is arbitrary at the whim of someone who has not held a real job for many decades.  Those of us who will pay the brunt of it for generations to come without a comfy retirement.  When you take freedom away from free people, when you threaten to take away their business licenses, fine people and more and more threats,  more and more demands upon them that infringe on those rights, there is no "grateful" to be found in that.  At least from where I stand as a business owner and free person. ... All these previous Leave campaigners around Number 10 look like a bunch of right cronies.

The UK is being run by these idiots? One of them who used to dress as a chicken and follow Cameron around?

Unbelievable!
