John Redwood@johnredwood1hGlad to see the EU now says it wants a Free Trade Agreement. No need for the UK to give any ground on other matters. We must take full control of our fish, our laws and our borders, and end the rule of the European Court.

Boris needs to be consistant with his tier system. X,y,z per hundred thousand triggering a lock down tier. Since the bank of little englandshire is paying for this it should also be imposed on all of the uk. Wales and scotland shouldnt expect the english to pay for them to sit at home drinking Bucky.

I can well imagine that there will be a need for some mechanism to sort out this mess and prevent absolute monetary chaos. By the time this is over (??) I can imagine the virus will have done more damage to the world economic system than WW11.
Interesting headline somewhere that covid has wiped out the flu - cant be Independent -too positive !

Breaking free incan understand. Joining scotland, wtf?

Perhaps cornwallncan join scotland too. And Kent, and perhaps finally, the last to leave Westminster and join scotland would be london.

Bob - "Thousands of people have signed a petition calling for the north of England to break free - and join an independent Scotland.

So far, the petition has accrued more than 11,000 supporters."

Translated as:

"Millions of people haven't signed a petition calling for the N of England to break free..."

About Cummings... Daily Telegraph...Ateuchus Scara25 Oct 2020 7:55AMThese people allowed May to get away with the WA, and they want to get rid of Cummings, really?  The veteran Tories might be happier with a stabilising influence, but they might also be a bit more friendly and welcoming to the young ones. You don't learn unless there's someone behind you helping by clearing up the mess and serving the interests of the group by advancing the next generation. Cummings may be a bit gung ho but he's going in a direction that many, even some of the old guard understand. The Tory Party are all for a quiet time, sitting on their laurels when they can find them. They took us into a political union, and they knew it, for over forty years, and when the penny dropped with the electorate who were never consulted, they promised to get us out four years ago. The fat lady hasn't sung yet and until we know the nature of the deal no one is going to know whether or not the Tory Party have reneged on their promise. Its about time they sorted out both their attitude to European unification and which side their bread is buttered on. Its hard, the UK is between a rock and a hard place but its annoying when the two party system turns out to be a two faced one party system and people are annoyed, no change in the admin is going to change that, they need to get on with it.

Time for the EU to have courage and show strength and take leadership of the free world. The US is a busted flush. Trump was the final nail in the coffin.
