02/10/2020 18:54 | Angela Merkel: UK-Norway fisheries deal shows London remains ‘constructive& UK and Norway signed a fisheries framework agreement on Wednesday morning. By HANS VON DER BURCHARD 10/2/20, 4:20 PM CET Updated 10/2/20, 4:21 PM CET A U.K.-Norway fisheries agreement reached on Wednesday is a sign London remains on “a constructive path” in its post-Brexit negotiations with neighbors, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Friday. “The agreement with Norway is at least an indication that [the British] are on a constructive path and I wouldn’t interpret that as bad news for us but rather as sign that agreements can be found,” Merkel told reporters following a summit of EU leaders in Brussels. She added that, “as long as we [the EU and U.K.] negotiate, I’m optimistic.” Still, the "breach" of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement via the U.K.'s Internal Market Bill is a "bitter" setback for the efforts to reach a deal, Merkel cautioned. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte told reporters following the summit that he remains “cautiously optimistic” that the EU and U.K. can still agree a trade deal. Rutte said he believes the “geopolitical necessity” for such a deal is felt in Brussels and London. “In an unstable world, which has not become more stable due to the COVID crisis,” it's even more important for both sides to cooperate, Rutte said, adding that a no-deal outcome would be “a big lost opportunity” that would come on top of the economic fallout from the coronavirus crisis. | ![]() maxk

02/10/2020 15:00 | The so called scientists have been playing with the figs from the outset. The office of Nat Stats have a quite different read on how many people have died of C19. But they are/were separating the pure C19's from the "with C19" Result ... the pure C19 deaths are a tiny number. The vast majority were "with C19" And therefor regardless of what people died from, they were lumped in to the final tally. This isnt skience, it's manipulation .. to what end? I dont know. | ![]() maxk
02/10/2020 13:39 | Why just the first phrase, Alphorn? The scientists have gone along with it, possibly reluctantly but they haven't said, no, this is all balls! That makes them complicit. No doubt you remember the presentation the other Monday with that ludicrous chart which even humble journalists were able to pull to pieces within half an hour. The scientists were visibly uneasy when they produced the chart and they used a very strange form of words when they did so. | ![]() grahamite2

02/10/2020 11:46 | Chavi Oh good grief. When in a hole stop digging. You keep moving the goalposts it's laughable. Annual FLU figures are GLOBAL. 250-500,000. Annual Covid is Global. (and we've 3 months to go) Read it in a paper. Which one? "But I stand by my opinion that here on flu deaths will be higher than covid in the next six months" Good luck with that. In the next 6mths you'll have Annual Flu 250-500,000 + 3mths worth. Annual Covid 1 million + 3mths worth. Zero chance your opinion will be correct. | ![]() geckotheglorious
