The Navy could be called in to help reduce the number of illegal migrants crossing the Channel after 235 reached the UK in a new record for a single day.

Priti Patel, the Home Secretary, has ordered a review of the UK's current sea capability in the Channel, which could see the Navy recalled to help tackle the situation for the first time since her predecessor, Sajid Javid, requested military aid last January.

There's no need whatever for a "review" ffs. Start blowing them out of the water. TODAY.

Maybe if you are a hotel owner and government are happy to pay you to house 'anyone' you'd take it ATM.

What harm is it doing to you personally?

Come on, I'd like to here WHAT HARM IS IT DOING TO YOU PERSONALLY??????

Optimistic, exactly my point earlier. I think there is a very high percentage of people that have had "it" without know it and now have herd immunity.

Maxidi, Serco are putting the illegals up in country house hotels. Virtually every hotel in the NW is fully occupied with em. Watched Nigels latest video last night & they're arranging trips round Anfield for them aswell!

The furlough system is just keeping afloat many businesses that are not viable anyway. There should be no reason why businesses cannot now get people back to work, even on a shift rota basis, ensuring distances are maintained.

If businesses don't want to get their workers back, you have to question the reason.

I agree if you feel safe enough to go to a pub or go to the beach with thousands 'cheek by jowl' then the same people should be back at work. I agree Uty

It is not the State's fault we have the virus, man made or act of God, we should all take responsibility to manage our own keep.

Those who were and are still on furlough, why aren't they picking fruit or veg that the farmers need to harvest? We are becoming a lazy nation and it needs Sumak (chancellor), to wise up and realise his policy is being exploited badly.

If everyone was back to work the share price of Lloyds will be back to 65p+

I see Italy has very low rates of new infections could this be more people had Cov 19 before anyone noticed ?
===============================================================

This is very possible. I say this with a strong conviction after my friend visited hospital this week and when talking to the nurse she told him that all the hospital staff had been tested with the results showing that 60% having had the virus mostly with no symptoms. How many of us are walking about having had 'it'
Other hospitals could well be the same...are the figures included in the daily count?

I would agree furlough does need to end for some and cut down on percentage in the next few months for others. Civil service should be ordered back to work and deemed resigned if they dont.

Dinghy migrants had a mention on the news ONLY because Nigel has been on youtube showing the Gov. up for picking these people up and placing them in hotels all over the country.
Nigel got 7 million responses from the public for the first video. He alone is shaming the government and the media to sit up and do something. About bloody time as well.
