Superb weather in Reading this morning. And not many masks. Well done Reading for being sensible in approach...Anyway...eamonn flanagan2 Aug 2020 2:50PM8 people died from Covid 19 yesterday. In April according to the Governments inflated figures we maxed out at just under 1000 deaths per day.To Clarify the death rate in the UK for Covid has REDUCED nearly 1000% since April. Why all the panic?Because Covid 19 is an excuse to carry out policies that curtail freedom. There is no other viable reason....

Superb on Barry Island beach. Hardly a mask in sight. Fabulous.Anyway.... Pierre Bezuhov2 Aug 2020 3:05PMThis is what happens to a country, where it is ruled by a political class and establishment which shares the same political agenda - which is the far-left globalist agenda. We have lost our free press.   The UK media is now as totally controlled as the media of the Soviet Union were.We have lost our freedom of speech, with the globalists' "hate speech" laws. The government a few months ago quietly passed a law giving them total control over all internet content that can be seen by the UK population - allowing them (as a government Minister boasted a few weeks ago) to block 'two million conspiracy theory messages' from being seen by people in the UK.That total control and censorship over all news and opinion is what British politicians used to condemn the Soviet Union for - and now they boast of doing exactly the same in the UK!We have lost any genuine democracy in the UK - because all main political parties are far-left, and they all work for the same people based in the communist UN, along with far-left oligarchs like Bill Gates and Soros, and the global corporations like Google, Amazon, Microsoft et al, who are now far more rich and powerful than any national government. No political party is available for people to vote for which is not far-left, and pursuing the same globalist agenda.By that means, the far-left globalist UK establishment ensures the general elections are completely meaningless, thereby making democracy non-functioning -because whoever people vote for will make absolutely no difference to the far-left agenda of the UK political class. We are actually now a far-left, one-party globalist Police State - and they are using the manufactured 'Corona crisis' as the cover story, and pretext, to impose their far-left, Orwellian 'new normal' regimen on everyone. It's just that nobody realizes it.

Banks only get the money back from HMG, IF they have
made attempts to have it repaid.

What is that going to entail?. This is potentially very messy.

Just wait till all those finance deals start to kick in, What is Lloyds exposure to PCP and leasing deals??

One example on the TV was showing a coach company were the drivers owned their own coach, about £250.000 for a coach on finance and lots of these guys gone bust with no more work till next year. Coaches sold off at Auction for £70k and owners pursued for rest, with most going bankrupt. Just one tiny example, how much more is there out there??

'Lloyds is the biggest bank operating in car loans in the UK, although its market share is still underweight its size. Lloyds sells up to 100,000 second-hand cars from its Lex Autolease business, which provides fleets of vehicles to companies'

GtG #602. Agree.

Here masks are obligatory in shops etc. Enforced and the very few idiots who ignore are asked to leave immediately.

Tim HedgesPosted August 2, 2020 at 9:37 am | PermalinkI have felt for many years that civil servants should be moved out of London, but the main reason is to give them some insight into how non-Londoners live. The Home Office should be somewhere there is a lot of crime, such as Nottingham and the Foreign Office as far from Europe as possible (Swansea?)
