I was asked by some nice people on the beach this question " What can we do about all of this?"

Difficult to answer...then after some whisky and thunking the answer!![are you ready?]

If the population do NOT go to pubs or restaurants Do not buy a new car or any other discretionary spending, then the most democratic power we have...how we spend our money..will work its magic

The government have to be educated UNTIL these ridiculous restrictions on personal liberty end forthwith

no one will spend?..

This will REALLY worry them, trust me.

Hormone Beef for the upwardly mobile! More than likely our levels of discernment will nosedive during recovery.

No reasonably discerning shopper will have difficulty indentifying the country of origin.

Dont like it, dont buy it.

The wily Dr. Fox to the fore then? Although even he will struggle with the hormone assisted beef imports. Not to even mention "Frankenfoods!" Trump will push for a Deal notwithstanding - especially after he screws up with China. Might be hard to say no - he threatens all comers these days.
A new slogan will be launched -"Eat Working Class Beef and Level up!!

maxk; Wonder how many will swallow that 'promise'? The hobbits are confused, they smell deception. They have learned from their French connexions.

A Government spokesman said: ‘The UK is renowned for its high environmental, food safety and animal welfare standards.

‘And we will safeguard our agriculture sector – we’ve just announced a policy which maintains tariffs on key agricultural products such as lamb, beef, and poultry.

‘We have been clear that in all of our trade negotiations – including with the US in our first round of negotiations – that we will not undermine our high domestic environmental protection, animal welfare and food safety standards, by ensuring that in any agreement British farmers are always able to compete.’

Fkall point in observing social distancing judging by the number of froggie asylum seekers coming over. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the government introduced a scheme like fostering where hard up lefties could lodge 10 or 12 economic migrants in a bunked out garage or back bedroom to recieve £50pp/pw. In addition to all this freestyle lockdown shagging that's been cracking off it would come as no surprise if UK population topped 80M next year.

@Keir_Starmer

Which just goes to show you need a good memory when you lie, otherwise you call our your own lies or fail to maintain the pretence. #LiarJohnson WHEN is he going to be held to account??

Brexit for Dummies.

“A group called ‘Save British Farming’ – representing farmers, consumers and members of the food production industry – is calling on farmers and supporters of upholding food standards to drive their tractors, trucks and cars to Westminster on 8 July, to protest the agriculture bill that is currently going through parliament.
“The group says, “The government is selling British farmers down the river. This July they want to pass an agriculture bill that will ditch UK animal welfare and environmental standards for farm imports, flood the market with cheap, low-quality food and destroy Britain’s world-class farming industry.”
“The agriculture bill reverses many of the promises made by the Vote Leave campaign during the referendum, as well as manifesto commitments made by the Conservative Party during the general election. Lowering food standards, animal welfare standards and environmental standards – or pricing British farmers out of the market – was not what voters were led to expect.”

The worshipful Society of British Hobbits are not amused -" We never voted for this!"

Brexit set to cost British citizens almost more than 47 years of payments to the EU budget by the end of this year. 🇪🇺🇬🇧

The real costs are the uncertainty & loss of opportunities for all Europeans, which could still be incalculable.
