PhillisThat is exactly the point. If the provision is excessive then cash that would otherwise be required to meet claims will instead be available for other purposes. Having said that it is difficult to imagine it would be a particularly significant sum.

As it happens those stocks I mentioned I invested in way before Boris even became PM. The Boris Ponzi scheme will help of course but it doesn't change my overall negative view on longterm quality of life for the average UK citizen.

Stoned, you are a moron! You are paying good money to downtick your betters.

What a 24ct tosspot you are silly boy!!

Minnie is gonna punch your scrawny throat, so you had better be careful, I heard he packs a punch that would put the shakes into any self respecting bare knuckle boxer.

Minnie, I have to smile to myself reading your posts, there you go this morning recommending a couple of shares that are doing well since Boris got in. I know both stocks and find it amazing how you trash Boris but love the gains from stocks that will do well out of Europe.

Where exactly do you stand, methinks that you are very wet Remainer with a big fat Brexiteer inside trying to get out!!

ROFLMAO

M2 at its height nett EU migration into the UK was 300k + pa so every 3 yrs our population was growing by 1M from the EU alone. It's no coincidence that social security expenditure has ballooned in parallel with migration. As a nation we simply cannot afford unrestricted migration it's that simple.

Well none of us know ,crossing..me?,I trust the optimists and a government that has a vested interest in getting growth up.

The pessimists dont exactly have a good track record over the last 5 years

unless,of course, you are talking about the EU!
Inward FDI is already up over 55% in the last 12 months.

you may recall that share buy ins were suspended
if the provision is too large you might expect the buy ins to be reinstated

Wonder if the bonus will be double for 2020 if performance is good...

Horta-Osorio and operations chief Juan Colombas asked to be excluded from the 2019 bonus scheme in recognition of the poor performance and misconduct, though they were still paid 4.7 million and 2.6 million pounds respectively.

Utricky

I have already told you the exemptions needed will be so wide and in such numbers that it makes the general policy useless and its costs wholly inefficient.

You will be spending hundreds of millions, if not billions, to keep a few thousand out. Not a great way to spend taxpayers money. This has all been done before. Australia get away with it because they have ridden the back of Chinese commodity demand. Things are going to have to change there soon.
