Dai Iawn17 Feb 2020 6:59PMI think David Frost should have explained the concept of democracy first. The EU view of democracy is keep voting until they get the result they want. The Brussels bubble is in for a series of rude shocks. Guilty of subsidising Airbus when competing with Boeing etc... They can't be trusted to adhere to rules, or agreements of any kind.... See the Canadians aren't happy either.

Mr Elbee. Thanks for your considered response . Perhaps you could put up an eloquent defence of FPTP and the delights of the undemocratic House of Lords?

"mr.elbee referred to anybody with a SIPP ,is a muppet"

Anyone without BOTH a SIPP and an ISA is a muppet......

Don't have a SIPP you miss out on the beenficial tax treatment which you can compound for 40+ years...

Don't have an ISA, and you miss out on product that is both tax free and has greater flexibility.

If Govts announce they are changing tax allowances/rebates etc etc you're screwed in a SIPP. In an ISA you just sell before they implement and move your funds offshore.

Pays to have BOTH.

Anyone that doesnt have BOTH is a Muppet.

Having waded through Bloomberg Brexit's biased bulletin.....

"U.K. consumers will face higher prices on goods coming from the EU after Brexit whether there is a free trade deal or not, according to a major business group. Mandatory customs declarations and rules of origin paperwork will add costs, “regardless of how good the deal is,” said William Bain of the British Retail Consortium"

I avoid EU goods wherever possible so bovvered..

Higher prices are coming for a variety of reasons and Brexit isn't but a minor player in such.

And if we get some FTAs with US,Canzuk, Commonwealth we can substitute expensive EU goods with cheaper and as good quality wise, ROTW goods.

I make it a policy to buy NON EU wherever possible now.

"You'll soon be getting Greta rammed down your throat in a new series, with no presentation of an opposing view."

We could bring back The Clangers if you like. By-the-way, you would make a great soup dragon.

The compound return of your tax rebate is the advantage of a sipp over an isa, it's that simple isn't it?
