Minerve,
I heard an account from Rev Ian Paisely , around the BSE crisis.
Westminister were happy to support a UK wide ban , even if it crippled Northern Ireland farmers. There was no need for this as they had no cases.

Rev Ian towards the end of his life started to see the flaws in the Union and the benefits of doing your own deals if they impacted your country.

Fishing owners are also tory donors , they have little real interest in fishing . Mark my words the fishing community will be sold down the swanny. A bargin chip .

Quite amusing posts.

- Fishing UK GDP contribution 0.1% (a true minnow).
- Illegal drugs and prostitution contribution 5%

What % of GDP would the 'UK' fishing industry be without Scotland?

I would say near on negligible. And this was supposed to be a big issue for Brexiters.

So, in effect we would be spending probably £100Ms if not £Bns on such protections when the industry itself is worth less. Erm, clever!

Like spending £4K on CCTV to guard a corner shop making sure the tube of Smarties isn't stolen.

LOL

"Give up now Minnie before you go down in history as the board's biggest loser!"

Oh, I thought I was that already. LOL

Does this refreshed award come with rubber mats?

ROFLMAO!

Can't alter the facts. Hard Brexit has NEVER had majority public mandate.

Yawn! Minerve's eternal losing crusade to have us stay on the sinking ship, he will still be on board screaming as his beloved Europe joins Woodford in the failure stakes.

No way M2 Any vote in Scotland that wasnt for the SNP was a vote to remain in the UK since all parties in Scotland support remain in the EU. Why can't you grasp this?
It requires a similar feat if logic to recognise that a vote for a leave Tory administration is infact not a vote for capitalism. That accolade would be true of any remain administration, they are the ones supporting open borders & undermining of the working classes with an infinite supply of cheap foreign labour. Why cant you grasp this? You too Bobster!

Poopy, MM's and brokers won't exist in the future. Shares will be traded on a blockchain platform open to all, regardless of where you live, just like bitcoin and other units are traded...only a question of time imo.

Hard Brexit has never had, not once, a clear and transparent mandate from England, never mind Scotland. The far-right have forced this through and the dunderheads have bought it.

Come on, Bridgend Tory?

LOL

Maxk

Where do I start.
1. The Times
2. Clifton Hall Fee paying school
3 Rod Hall ( Tory mouthpiece) head teacher of Clifton Hall .
He has spoken out every few months on Scottish education standards . Usually printed at behest of tories in Times , Telegraph and Mail .
Really disturbed at the thought of SNP introducing Scottish training requirements to teach in private schools as they have some with no or dubious qualifications .
Extremely distempered at SNP plans of doing away with Charity status for private schools .
Terrified that SNP abolish all private education .
Education despite austerity and no matter what opposition especially agenda led tories say is on the up in Scotland .

Maxk,
"How do you deal with that type of mindset?"

You eliminate the Palestinian problem. Most of them should go to Jordan and seek citizenship there. And rest of Middle East to take their share of the rest - problem solved. There is no Palestinian nation, it is merely a stick with which anti semites bash Israel under the pretext of hating Zionism.....

We all know such is cover for anti semitism..it's all so transparent.

Utricky.

The SNP tabled 45 per cent , Some labour , tory, liberal and liberal also want independence.

So very weak argument. Less than 45 per cent voted tory but we are still getting Brexit.

"5k shares every 1% drop"..this is my only long term investment.
So "long term"..
Just how much are you down (%?) over the last 2...3..5...8..years?

Investors should remember that the value of an investment and the income received from an investment can go down as well as up, and they may not get back the amount they invested.

jordaggy - Carney should keep his big gob shut....(Carney should?)
I had a dream a few years back (LLOY was 75p??)..
all decision making, be it government, financial, political or whatever was all AI decided....
AI world would eliminate market manipulation...and no more MM's!...all trades would be quantum blockchain tech....

jordaggy - 80% of trades are AI bots!

Big bounce Monday?

jordaggy - I'll be honest (Mr.Elbee), I haven't thought it thro'...still working on the details
