04/12/2019 17:02 | Its not 100% thats for sure, BUT it is as reliable as you can get right now. If you have a high PSA level then you will be referred for a further examination and a biopsy if required. I am no Doctor but I have spoken to a lot of professionals whilst my Dad was ill and know a fair bit about it. Prostate cancer can have no symptoms. You find out about it when it has spread. For the sake of a blood test I personally thinks its worth it. If it turns out to be nothing, you have lost nothing. I feel quite passionately about it as if caught early as g2 says it has a high cure rate. My Dad put his constant weeing down to old age, he was not that old when he died 74. We could not get him to the Doctors and its played on my mind ever since. Once he did it had spread. NHS were fantastic and the carers wonderful people. | m5
04/12/2019 16:42 | Indeed m5, especially as it has a near 100% cure rate if caught promptly. | grahamite2
04/12/2019 16:37 | Re-Bob Willis, Bloody prostate cancer. Got my Dad. Get yourselves checked boys, especially if you are over 50. Simple blood test for your PSA levels. You can get it free, ask your GP. Like anything with cancer early detection is key. Don't put if off. | m5
