Personally I think all the leaders (of the parties) are idiots. Some have more heart than others, some are more radical, some have no pragmatism, and others are outright charlatans.

I wish I could just switch parliament/government off.

M2I do not hate the old man but his lies and policies. At this moment and time he is the worse choice to lead Britain to the next century. Worse more lib dems and the most remain voters know this by instinct and will vote accordingly...;))No, I don't believe that.. prices were always high and it's time to do something about it. Governments and people in general are fed up with them. They have to compromise and they will !!

Actually as it happens I do think certain sectors of the US have an argument about NHS pricing but I think they should look to their own system to remove pricing delta from their prices versus ours. It seems the delta is not sustainable and with pressure to increase earnings at the US pharmaceuticals, and the pressure to reduce US drug costs, I think anyone who isn't concerned is a fool.

Saying the "NHS isn't for sale" is not confirming that the market for NHS drug procurement is likely to change. I hope you understand that nuance.

They would increase the prices MIn, no doubt.

But the NHS uses generics wherever possible, and the use of special drugs (expensive) is limited.

So you don't think US pharmaceuticals are looking to increase the pricing they charge the NHS and you don't think the government will acquiesce to their request.
