'Baffling' decision to carry on with no-deal Brexit motorway plan causes motorist misery

Danielle Sheridan, political correspondent

Motorists endured misery on Monday after one half of a motorway was turned into a “lorry park” to test it for no deal Brexit preparedness — even though Britain is no longer leaving the EU on Oct 31.

Highways England introduced Operation Brock on the M20 in Kent at 6am, just three and a half hours before Brussels confirmed it was extending Article 50 until the end of January.

It led to long tailbacks on the motorway, which was made worse by a crash which blocked part of the carriageway.

Drivers vented their fury on Twitter branding Highways England and the Department for Transport “Muppets” for presiding over the “chaos” which could now take days to reverse.

Sounds like it diku. Celebrations for the remainers though as 3 years plus we are still in the EU instead of having left. They must be ecstatic, just hope it doesn't leave too much of a sour taste with them seeing democracy overturned.

Indeed this is a dysfunctional, worn out sick parliament. It is the ROTTEN PARLIAMENT. There is a need for a General Election. But the Anti-democratic Labour and SNP refuse to allow the People to vote in a new parliament. Democracy is being strangled by Labour and SNP. Parliament makes the laws, not the laws making parliament. Democracy is People Rule.OK

Watching now "MPs voting on plan for 12 Dec election"
edit: Boris won but not outright (299 to 70 apparently not enough), so he looses! What? It's just the way it is!
