Mr Elbee, my experiences have taught me to have zero confidence in our leaders in this country and I'd say the handling of the Brexit situation just perfectly confirms my fears.......

Over 50 million died as a consequence of WW2, why is that this event is looked back at as if it were a World Cup final win? It's what happens when populations get "gaslighted" by populists.

Good riddance to the Sarahs of this world. Since the tory party has been effectively Lib Dem in most social policies for about 50 years she is now in the right party.A few others could join her too.

Oblivion will face the Lib Dems again and again because what they are saying is patently false.

Why,Ladeside? It 's fact and we have been there before..WW2?
Don't you have ANY confidence in this country?
or any historical perspective?
or any capacity to analyse the data which is relentless and obvious?

Apparently not.

Ex-Tory MP Sarah Wollaston joins Lib Dems in battle against Brexit

Telegraph Reporters
15 AUGUST 2019 • 5:43AM

Sarah Wollaston, the former Tory MP, has joined the Liberal Democrats, saying it is the best way for her to fight to remain in the EU.

Dr Wollaston, who announced the move late on Wednesday, quit the Conservatives in February over the party's "disastrous handling of Brexit".

The Totnes MP joined what would become the Independent Group for Change, but left that fledgling group in June after its dismal performance in the European Parliament elections.

She now becomes the latest politician to join the resurgent Remain-supporting Lib Dems, following Chuka Umunna's similar pathway from Labour.

Dr Wollaston said: "I believe the best way for me to represent my constituents in Totnes is to be working...

I laugh at the arrogance when every EU country is wrong but we are right. Seriously ?

I also laugh at the len mccluskey upticks from the people who apparently despise him, however because his view is similar to your own you now agree.

Who knows, we've maybe got more hard line socialists here than meets the eye......

HARD-LEFT Union boss Len McCluskey last night told Remainer rebels to finally accept "we lost the referendum" and give up trying to stop Brexit. The firebrand savaged Tom Watson for suggesting a stop Brexit pact with the Lib Dems and said it is "almost impossible" to stop a No Deal on October 31.

Worth a read, because it won't just be banks OTHER financial institutions are also affected as buywell has previously stated.

Investors continued their run on bank stocks, sending shares of some of America's biggest financial institutions sharply lower following the latest sign of trouble ahead for the U.S. economy.
