30/5/2019 12:19 | Everyone assumes Boris will win?I don't, and I expect millions more don't.But don't worry, I won't drag you through the criminal courts. | shy tott
30/5/2019 12:13 | The Bercow situation is interesting. I read that 4 previous speakers had been beheaded for failing to carry out the Kings wishes. Bercow will ensure that 'the will of parliament' is supreme. Anyone who thinks they can hide behind that terrible scam referendum vote 3 years ago will be disappointed. Lots of entertainment ahead, amazing that everyone assumes Boris will win. if he does, then my prediction is that he will be a pragmatist. | careful
30/5/2019 12:06 | An interesting legal position with regards to Brexit referendum campaign facts. Important to emphasise the word 'facts'. Predictions about a glorious or terrible future are meaningless in law. If new evidence becomes available after a criminal is convicted or found innocent, the Geoffrey Archer trial comes to mind, but there are many more, There is often a re trial. Same with Boris and his false numbers on the side of a bus. If it can be demonstrated that these facts are beyond dispute, blatant lies, and if it can be demonstrated that they effected the result, then this is a tricky legal position. Nothing will come of this stupid case of course, but it will demonstrate that their is a big difference between lying on a point of audible fact, and say a manifesto intention. They always say 'promise' but that is nonsense in law. | careful
30/5/2019 12:01 | Tim Price @timfprice 7h7 hours ago It says quite a lot about Remainiacs that they are willing to destroy our entire democratic tradition, and all civil discourse, in their increasingly desperate attempts to keep us in the doomed EU. "And they'll squeal like pigs when breakdown in social order engulfs them" | crossing_the_rubicon
30/5/2019 11:51 | Of course we'll be out with no deal in Oct. The situation now is totally different from May's time. If nothing more the EU will be sick to death of us and furthermore a very pro brexiteer will soon be the pm.No transition deal will be planned for and the planning on both sides will include short term deals between the EU and usRelax, let the losing remoaners drive themselves into an early grave. | shy tott
30/5/2019 11:20 | That's her stock in trade. Brexit means brexit! No deal is better than a bad deal! Perfic record. | maxk
30/5/2019 11:14 | I suppose laughing is the healthy response. How she could say "the country I love" and keep a straight face I do not know. | grahamite2
30/5/2019 11:09 | I didn't see her resignation speech until yesterday...when I first saw it, I welled up a little...having watched it several more times...now I just laugh! | jordaggy
30/5/2019 10:43 | The old bag is on her way to well-deserved obscurity, the nursing home and the graveyard. Nothing she says matters any more, about student grants or anything else. Time for her to STFU. | grahamite2
30/5/2019 10:35 | Rory is just weird..end of. | mr.elbee
30/5/2019 10:32 | He's in with the in crowd...lookit his bio. | maxk
30/5/2019 10:28 | He may even be an example of that near-extinct species: One-Nation Tories. | bbalanjones
30/5/2019 10:23 | I like Rory. Great chap. Love to have a beer or drink with him. Good, intelligent company. | minerve 2
30/5/2019 10:20 | "Rory has no chance. . . . " He is too close to the truth. | bbalanjones
30/5/2019 10:17 | "Rory has no chance, he's too ugly." And Boris is Clooney's brother! ROFLMAO! | minerve 2
30/5/2019 10:15 | Rory has no chance, he's too ugly. | mikemichael2
30/5/2019 10:15 | If the whole "Leave" campaign was predicated on 'porkies' - where does that leave the result? See you in court Boris. | bbalanjones
30/5/2019 10:12 | cp: You were spot-on yesterday regarding Boris, Farage and Banks: All are first rate Political stunts. | bbalanjones
30/5/2019 10:08 | This is getting really serious, or has become I should say. We've got people obstructing democracy with apparent impunity, starting with Bercow, the so-called Speaker. Then there's the dopes calling for a second referendum. I'd say, bring it on and Leave will win again but to have another referendum would be so undemocratic and stupid beyond belief. Someone dig up Maggie, would you. | poikka
30/5/2019 10:02 | Minnie the troll. | poikka
30/5/2019 10:02 | Pete - "5 months to go before we leave with no deal by default. Will soon go and we'll be free from the horrendous EU with a bright future ahead of us." I sincerely hope so, but sounds kinda familiar. | poikka |
