16/10/2024 11:49 | The likes of abdn up strongly today after that inflation report - should benefit all high yielders - this could signal the turning point for LIO ? IMHO. | mister md

12/10/2024 10:49 | I expect some larger predators are sniffing round with the share price now so low. It looks like an easy way to gain AUM on the cheap. | grahamg8
11/10/2024 12:12 | It's a really difficult one. With historic dividend yield at >14% the share price is saying that something has to give. But I haven't heard any analyst let alone the BoD saying that they're going to cut the dividend. Graham Neary's comments on Stocko seem nearest to the mark: it lacks a niche, is obviously underperforming, but is very, very cheap. I hold, having bought down in the past and on account of which am now sitting on a paper loss of 21%. I don't mind value traps that continue to pay dividends; but they do need to recover over the longer term, otherwise you're getting in with one hand only to give more with the other. | brucie5
11/10/2024 09:32 | For some reason I couldn't use the following links in my last posts: markets.investorschr uk.investing.com/equ www.tradingview.com/ Even if you take just the average of each prediction, the target price is still in the 700s. Check them out! | bigstakker
11/10/2024 09:27 | My last post should have had these links in it: hxxps://uk.investing I think they make pretty good case for buying now. Even if you take just the average of each prediction, the target price is still in the 700s. | bigstakker
11/10/2024 09:24 | Hi folks. Amidst all this relative doom and gloom, do these price forecasts give some cause for optimism?: hxxps://uk.investing I think they make pretty good case for buying now. Even if you take just the average of each prediction, the target price is still in the 700s. | bigstakker

11/10/2024 07:21 | The outflows for LIO have been ongoing for a long while. The failed attempt to buy GAM. Seems a bit rich for management to blame the Labour govt for their own failings. | tag57
11/10/2024 07:08 | Now where are the director buys ? | mister md
11/10/2024 07:05 | Just bought a chunk at 492p - but won't be averaging down any further ! | mister md
11/10/2024 06:25 | Liontrust fears ‘misplaced&rsq Liontrust (LIO) has suffered from the ‘general malaise’ seen by the asset management industry but dividend concerns are ‘misplaced&rsq "We anticipated that the industry had a lacklustre quarter for flows and Liontrust has not escaped the general malaise, with September having proven particularly difficult it appears. Retail outflows of £900m were ‘in line with our estimate’ but institutional outflows were ‘slightly worse than we had hoped, although stronger performance was an important mitigant. The wait for a turn in flows – for the industry as well as for Liontrust – continues. Hopefully, the Budget will offer some relief. In the meantime, we believe that fears with respect to Liontrust’s dividend are misplaced, with an estimated 13.6% yield on offer helping to soothe the continued wait." said Maile | masurenguy
