The government is:announcing an industry led compact committing many of the UK's largest Defined Contribution (DC) pension providers to the objective of allocating at least 5% of their default funds to unlisted equities by 2030. (AIM)This was in July. We hope for more news on thus on Nov 14

The divergence seems to have started around 2013. After the GFC the S&P got back to its previous peak around 2013 but the FTSE100 had to wait an extra year. From then on, then S&P has gone up by 280% but the FTSE100 only about 20%.

Reeves is not creating growth.

Socialism is a wonderful idea, but it's never actually worked - anywhere, ever. Somehow history doesn't stop these idiots trying it again.

Reeves has borrowed billions for a one-off splurge on services. That's not investing. If you build a toll road and charge people to cross it, you'll get a return on it - now that's an investment.

£9B of the so-called £22B black hole is attributed to Labour giving junior doctors and train drivers a massive pay rise (with no productivity commitments in return).

Even the independent OBR says growth will be lower as a result of this budget.

In the year 2000 the UK standard of living was on par with the US. Now the average American is £9,000 pa above us.

After 5 five years of this lunacy, the UK will have descended far closer to the likes of Argentina.

Only an idiot would be investing in the UK now.

Just look at a chart comparing the FTSE100 with the American S&P500 (this chart only goes back as far as May 2019):

Reeves will be focused on growth in the days to come.Sge has no choice. I see her Mansion House reforms speech on Nov 16 to support uk stock market, incl the AIM market. This will be great for LIO.

What's with the downvoting of all the comments on this community BB?

It's nearly always Neilyb675 that's responsible for serial downticking regardless of the quality of the posts
