01/7/2019 11:35 | LOL Tony. Dream on whoppy, A "partnership" get a grip, a few posts back you were suggesting Google gave Lightwave their products, as they must really need Lightwaverf to promote them, I guess you maybe thinking. If I was not so polite I would have a word for you,and it maybe one that might offend, though I hate being personal but sometimes it`s like I talking to a five year old. Have a good day come what may and I really hope your investment turns out well and Apple or Google buys it and you make a pile. CT | clocktower
01/7/2019 10:22 | Sundar Pichai Google CEO was in Birmingham yesterday for England v India. I wonder if he had time to pop over to Aston to visit Lightwave ...LOL | tonys8
01/7/2019 09:56 | Lightwave probably get the products from google for free and then pay a % of the sales of starter packs back to google. It's a partnership. | whoppy
01/7/2019 09:49 | I doubt Lightwave are just buying the Mini and Nest Hub from Google and then including them with their starter packs. Are you for real? Lol | whoppy
01/7/2019 09:45 | LOL - whoopy - sorry but your not normally thick. Do you not think LWRF buy the Mini from Google and effectively discount LWRF products? Google must love it when companies do this sort of thing to try to sell their own products - do you really think Google are interested in selling light sockets? | clocktower
01/7/2019 09:40 | The Google Mini comes for free in the Lightwave bundle. How did Lightwave manage Google to give them free Mini speakers? | whoppy
01/7/2019 09:35 | Are they trying to push Apple into buying LWRF? If Google thought so highly about Lightwaverf, then why have they just not bought the company for peanuts to them? Good Luck whoopy. :-) | clocktower
01/7/2019 09:23 | It's a great way for Lightwave to piggy back sales on Google smart speakers. How many Google Mini and Google Nest hubs do Google sell? | whoppy
01/7/2019 09:09 | CT sounds increasingly desperate. Despite what he says, I reckon he is short, and getting twitchy. Only he could seek to find negativity in a decent order announcement followed by another announcement of a business distribution agreement with Google. | brownie69
01/7/2019 08:48 | Bought some this morning on all time lows, not often you see a google partnership, could implicate a few things for this small cap. Market seems muted at the moment. | ileeman
01/7/2019 08:39 | It's not that it's pocket change to Google. They are staking their reputation as a company on Lightwave products. Do people not realise how big that is.. | whoppy
01/7/2019 08:38 | Pocket change to Google | jmf69
01/7/2019 08:29 | You have to ask why Google are allowing their smart speaker to be associated and promoted with Lightwave. No other smart home tech is getting that privilege. Google must rate the Lightwave products. I could see them buying Lightwave if they wanted. | whoppy
01/7/2019 08:22 | An attempt to get the share price up - which is working at present - again, no numbers to support the drivel. How many units have been ordered? LOL - about joint marketing/working together they call it - what with one hundredth of a penny to a pound of Googles. Are they going to try to raise more funds? BEWARE! DYOR. | clocktower

27/6/2019 14:04 | i recently rec'd a marketing email with a for customers only discount offer on the smart range. i think i'm right in saying this is new, the previous offers being on older non apple compatible lines where presumably old stock was being off loaded for whatever they could get (some of the discounts were large). they would not be making offers on their newer stuff with no stock to fulfil i would think. the offer i saw ends june 30 so end of their third quarter. i don't know if this means anything either way but it seemed odd to me, and could perhaps mean that channel sell through levels are not what they are wanting to see. | athnotts
27/6/2019 08:56 | I can see where CT is coming from. There have been numerous "orders", collaborations and distribution agreements that have disappeared. Read carefully, it does seem to imply what Whoppy says, that the 500k is the first order to be delivered soon but I'd take nothing for granted. It's obviously good news but it's the sort of order they have to get to keep on track with the sales target. The 150k profit from it (if that), is still a drop in the ocean against 4m costs. Stocking orders are fine, but it's how the product sells though that matters. Who is paying to promote it in Europe? How much will they spend? At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you, me or the gatepost think, the market appears to want to see it written on the plus side of the balance sheet first. The share price has made an all time low after the announcement. That's all I need to know for now. @Whoppy The factory can cope with big orders. The hubs are made in Poland but the switches and sockets are made about 10 minutes way from me in China. They can make about 3K units a day ($100k ish) on 1 line. Providing lead times on parts allow. Looks like it could double production easily. | sinkyj
20/6/2019 10:41 | Nobody is disputing they are delivering the First Order whoppy. You might also be right about further significant developments but you need to stop jumping to conclusions. Have you taken the trouble to ring them yet to get what you suggest they have said, is what you are saying? This company is to small to short the stock - while one can borrow a few from ones friendly broker there is to little volume to warrant it. Correct me if I am wrong but the last time they announced a £2 million order, that was never completed or even anywhere near, was it not? If fact did they deliver or get paid for any of that order. Not to say the same will happen with this order, which is very welcome but this company have suckered money out of Pi`s so many times as they live the life of Riley. I hope I am wrong and would invest once again once they have proved they have stopped burning more than their earning. | clocktower
20/6/2019 10:15 | Clocktower, nice try but I'm afraid you are wrong. I am not assuming anything. The first rule of investing is to understand the meaning of company announcements and not just read words and be blinded by one's own mental preconception or bias interpretation.. It's there in black and white. I'm sorry if you risk losing money on a short or indeed want a lower buy in price. I would not be surprised to see further significant developments here. "The first order from Tech Data, which is being delivered this quarter, is to principally supply retailers in Germany and the Netherlands with Lightwave's new European Smart range of hubs, dimmers and sockets." | whoppy
20/6/2019 10:02 | Sorry whoppy but it is you that needs to read the RNS and not assume anything that maybe implied. THE FIRST ORDER IS BEING DELIVERED THIS QUARTER - it does not say the order for EUR 568,000 is being delivered this quarter.Does it say this order is the first they have received from Tech Data, all it says is they have received an order for X amount and in a separate paragraph, they say they are delivering the first order. Why not ring them and get it clarified. I am sorry if you are losing money here but all I am doing is pointing out the RNS as I see it. Maybe they should write their RNS so that there is no ambiguity. So many companies do such things as people jump in and assume things that are not there in fact, only to find out they made an error of judgement. | clocktower
20/6/2019 09:46 | You also have to take into account what LWRF are able to produce in volume. They could get an order for £1m, 2m or 3m worth of products. They need to be confident that they can actually supply the products in that volume. Read the RNS carefully. This order is being DELIVERED THIS QUARTER. ie: by the end of June, so in a few days time. The order is for hubs dimmers and sockets. To fulfill this order would indicate production is being ramped up to meet demand. DYOR. | whoppy
20/6/2019 08:47 | If you read all of the RNS it says this is a first sizeable order. This order is for Germany and Netherlands only. Europe is a new market for LWRF and there will likely be a 2nd and 3rd orders to supply retailers in other European countries. DYOR. | whoppy
20/6/2019 08:15 | So once again they announce a decent order, however what they do not say is that the first order that is being delivered is to the value of the announced total order. You will note, all they say is the first order is being delivered this quarter - now that first order could be for a very small value and not the full value of the order, so be careful - LWRF announced big orders in the past, which when the facts came to light were never completed if I recall correctly. Hopefully, they will be delivering the total order and this is the first of many but unless they confirm it, I would question the veracity of the implied statement. "an order to the value of EUR 568,000 from its new European distributor, Tech Data. The Company had previously confirmed its partnership agreement with Tech Data, one of the world's largest technology product distributors, in its recent interim results statement, published on 3 June 2019." "The first order from Tech Data, which is being delivered this quarter, is to principally supply retailers in Germany and the Netherlands with Lightwave's new European Smart range of hubs, dimmers and sockets." | clocktower
20/6/2019 08:13 | Initial 500k European order. Not bad to start with. | jmf69 |
