21/12/2015 14:47 | This is where the micro buildings management is business is going on. Connect Central. There is definitely a need for a simple but reliable and extendable system. What is available now from lightwaverf falls a little short of what is required but the potential is there, which is why we all remain invested. I just struggle to understand how botching a release of a two star , beautified IOS App meets this need. So do the customers, they were looking for more reliability , and usability in addition to limited capability boost . What has to be understood is the technology world is a very small place , anybody, including a care home manager with an iPhone can type Lightwaverf and see the results. I hope the new year brings better news. Links.... hxxp://connectcentra | sinkyj
21/12/2015 13:27 | So how is launching Homkit, Ifft and new pretty Apps to consumers fit into this small business strategy? There have been so many software releases, all effort of small team must be being leeched by the bug fixing on consumer Apps. There is a market for small business, a very large one, but you will find those Business Owners also like simplicity, reliability and ease of use, especially reliability. They also need the message spelling out in easy to understand terms. "How much money will it save us? " A lot the current products are not suitable for business for many reasons. Next year the new products could well be, but the current hub and products are more suited for simple domestic use. You will find that is the main reason for the slow take up. Trust me, if there were any major success in the small business then we would all hear. Launching something as, one size fits all is bound to disappoint everyone. If read carefully, you will see I suggest a simple App for simple people and more complexity via a paid for service or letting/helping third parties do it. The lack of clarity of direction and communication of the business strategy and successes along that path will not help te shareholders ,current or potential , or the business. There is space at the simple end of the market, there is space at the higher end bordering Business. There is precious little space in the middle ground. The danger efforts you are not really successful in any in any of them. I really do hope that they launch a really easy to use reliable system aimed at small business OR a simple , easy install Home system. Nest are the mist successful player in the market , they started with one product. Now three. All done very well. | sinkyj
21/12/2015 12:22 | Hi guys I've just done a quick catch-up, though not in depth, on the chat here (decided to give it a break after the announcement of 50% more shares issued...price was bound to seriously drop to incorporate that!) Can I just remind you all of what we were told at last year's AGM? I see a lot of discussion about the apps, and there are obviously many individuals buying and trying the LWRF equipment. However, it was stated at the last meeting that this was not the market to be focused on. The company is aiming more toward middle sized businesses and institutions (more like Warwick Uni size) rather than individuals or large businesses. They have already proven the effectivenss of the installation at Warwick (though, it appears, Warwick wants to wait until another winter is passed before publishing the report in March 2016 [I have this from ML's mouth]) This means that the money raised from the new shares will be going toward presentations and advertising to those bigger businesses. Just because we aren't seeing so much action on the personal level doesn't mean it isn't happening in bigger institutions. Last year they had a great working model as a show-case. I was very impressed what could be achieved in the way of heat management and control in such a large organisation, with so many rooms, all from a single computer. It was very impressive. Really, you had to see it to know how good it works on that level! If they've shown other large businesses how well it's worked, then I have no doubt there will be other companies dying to take it up. Control, and energy savings, were in the 'must have' region. If I was a business, I'd certainly move over to LWRF! Just thought I'd remind you, it's not all about the man on the street. There's a whole other market in the business world that might be being tapped as we sit here discussing it :-) All the best and please DYOR :-) | alynch
21/12/2015 08:53 | Problem with this stock at present has been the lack of communication and not providing the news many of us had been expecting before now. In addition there clearly are those ready to sell due to this lack of information and boredom, so there currently is weakness in the stock as investors like myself who are now slightly underwater will be waiting for any further slippage to occur before adding further, although it is my intention to do so, and I expect other holders to do the same so when confidence returns.Only at this point do I expect any rapid reversal in the stock price. It looks like we will all have wait until the New Year now or sell and cut and run. | clocktower
21/12/2015 08:36 | New episode showing one of useful ways in which lightwaverf can be used for the disabled to make their lives easier... from opening doors, to lighting and heating. | jmf69
21/12/2015 08:10 | Old news it was not Nar1 as it was only broadcast on 17.12.15, and speaking of another program shown last night - The Apprentice - The winner changed his position from promoting renewable energy sources to smart solutions when he presented on receipt of advice he had received. | clocktower
18/12/2015 17:40 | A lightwaverf home as featured on DIY SOS, I am surprised nobody posted it before: If you want to zip to the part that shows it, go to around the 44 min - 50 min part of the program.First shown 17.12.15 What a deserving family,I expect many more will be wanting these features as awareness grows. | clocktower
17/12/2015 08:51 | Hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies | nar1
16/12/2015 17:47 | Pretty slow here of late, and still no news: hxxp://www.argos.co. Trouble with the deal done with Havells is that in India things seem to take so long to finalize, hence being the reason that we might not have received further news. Hopefully we will get a stream of good news in the New Year what with HomeKit etc. | clocktower
09/12/2015 07:31 | I guess pretty busy, frequent software releases at the moment. Reliable is a good word. Its getting towards the time of year when any really good news would be a waste anyway. ANDROIDThis release includes further improvements to events and timers, including resolving a crash experienced by a small number of users and increasing the limits for each to 32. We've improved the behaviour for users of v1 Energy Monitors and resolved an issue with saving the name on your account. There are a number of other small fixes and changes under the surface as we work to make the app as reliable as possible. | sinkyj

07/12/2015 15:34 | Maybe they are doing rather than talking at present whoppy. | clocktower
07/12/2015 14:29 | We all want this company to do well and I'm sure they will have something to say when it's worth saying, but the fact they have been silent for so long does give the impression they're not doing much, hence 24p | whoppy
07/12/2015 14:10 | As an aside, purely as a supporter’s personal view, I think the tactics are completely wrong. The lightwave Switches and sockets are beautiful in designs and simplicity. I've tested a lot of systems and very few are just so easy to install. Making the software more complex (and very costly in time and resource to create) and then offering for free is a poor decision. We need simple route one football, the clubs with resources can play the complex stuff. Especially as the current hardware can’t really support some of it. I've said before but I believe the way to play is really easy to install products, with idiot proof reliable software, aimed at normal people, your standard iPhone users 6-65. Any complexities you need a) high level links into standard platforms IFFT etc, b) open your platform to paid for software that enthusiasts like, c) subsided dongles to plug into the many other multi vendor gateway products such as smart things or d) as last choice your own paid for advanced software. There are many companies that make much better gateways and software and don’t make profits from the peripheral products who would gladly support. Even the language used is complex. It sounds like the commercial software is to offered to the general public for free : "there will be an all new interface and menu structure, multiple sites, zones, many more devices and rooms”. What the hell?. I’d sooner hear : We’ve spent a long time to simplify the installation, use and reliability of our products. Whoever is putting out the marketing snippets is way too close to products to realise that the words don't mean much to ordinary people deciding on a purchase. Too long has been spent making complexities in the software, forgetting the masses, forgetting ease of use. The products however good are looking a a little tired and old. They should have been refreshed this year, hopefully the end of next year won't be too late for the market. | sinkyj
07/12/2015 13:20 | No it's not the end of the world CT. My point is, it's happened before, lessons have not been learned. That puts big doubts in my and it appears others minds, about the ability of the current directors to execute the great opportunities that I'm sure are on the way. I'm not sure how long a football manager would last with 20 chances on goal and no goal every week. The supporters are grumbling. The Chairman may have sunk his money in but that doesn't guarantee success , he needs to arrange a great manager and team. However, you will note there have been no big transfer deals with the money raised. I'm about up to my waist, Swiss Paul, if I get out there will more than a few ripples. I've got a slightly longer timeframe but not be much. Too many good opportunities out there at companies that don't keep making mistakes. | sinkyj
07/12/2015 13:02 | Clock - I would be disappointed had they not - as an aside when was that last RNS saying the Directors had piled in? | swiss paul
07/12/2015 09:27 | Was expecting a Monday RNS | nar1
07/12/2015 07:52 | swiss paul, remember the directors have put a considerable amount of money in themselves, and not that long ago one added another 120k @28p. It is however well overdue to have further news and an update from them. | clocktower |
