06/12/2015 17:24 | it would be laughable if it did not involve people who have put money (shareholders) into this business. Don't try and talk up the product if it is carp - as your playing into the hands of Directors. I will give it a post Xmas target and if it ain't got better then am moving me money . Thanks Sinky - as an aside what is your skin in this game? | swiss paul
04/12/2015 19:13 | Teething problems, nothing more. Maybe the team that wrote it are left handed, or in Australia. :-) sinkyj, A new menu structure, because they were better spending resources on the total fix rather than spending to long patching up the old one. Just a mistake putting it out rather than waiting. | clocktower
04/12/2015 18:18 | I'm less amused CT, because the promise of a "new menu structure" means much less to me than a 2* rating on one of the leading market places in the world. Its not a "few" bad comments, approximately 50% of the the customer reviews are 1*. I could post every one of them, but I think you get the gist. It's simply not good enough and way beyond "teething problems". "Absolute rubbish. Embarrassingly bad given I've waited two years for this "new improved version". Throw away, fire whoever created this sh*t and start again." "Can't believe that through testing of this app before release nobody picked up the on/off buttons have reversed. Should be Off to the Left, then on to the right. Just like most other switches and dimmers in the physical world and 99% of apps" | sinkyj
04/12/2015 14:50 | The difficulty with your sentiments are that its always some time in the future. The new versions were sometime in the future - then more future -until eventually they came out and they are not good. The apps are to drive are real products now and produce profit now - people read them and some may then decide to buy a more widely advertised product. I am sure all the future products are to some extent good sellers but if the company cannot execute well now on products that have been available in some cases for years then the company and its profits have a problem. | yesrupnel
04/12/2015 13:22 | It is rather amusing to see posters becoming so negative just before we are likely to see a stream of better news coming from the company over the next few months, based it seems purely on a few feedback comments, rather than on the facts that there will be an all new interface and menu structure, multiple sites, zones, many more devices and rooms, that will I expect include devices to control Air Conditioner Units (that I guess will be for Havells). This could turn out to be one of the largest markets, and it is well worth reading the sort of report that this link provides an insight into the size and growth expected between 2015 - 2012. hxxp://www.researcha | clocktower
04/12/2015 11:43 | That is a terrible set of feedback scores for LightwaveRF, The old versions were so poor and we were promised a complete overhall - and we waited such a long time. Even contributors on this board said the wait is worth it and the company had promised such a comprehensive set of improvements. To see such disappointing feedback and such a low overall score is truly worrying. Similar to many people before I buy a product I try and find some reviews and see what existing customers like. As part of that process I would look at Play and AppStore to see what the usability is like. This poor feedback would certainly be a factor in buying the product. | yesrupnel

04/12/2015 09:00 | No good ever comes of releasing half tested product or trying to pretend an old thing is in fact a new one. So why do it? Wait until 2016, it's taken enough time already. I've also grabbed a few, but at some point the execution HAS to improve or we all lose money. The best news is sales, sales come from either promoting the hell out of a product so people think it must be good, people aspiring to a product because everyone else has it, or seeing a product is good and buying it. None is happening just at the moment. Unfortunately the first thing people see is a 2* App. Frustrating because the products are way better than that. | sinkyj
04/12/2015 08:33 | Hence the current share price sinkyj, however if they are well on the road to fixing these problems and provide the market with some overdue positive news things will change rapidly very shortly imo. I think the concentration has focused on Apples Homekit and Havells business. "LightwaveRF @LightwaveRF @Smartmoverecord As for Siri, we'll be integrating Apple HomeKit in early 2016. Any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask! [2/2]" A little patience required, frustrating I accept. Still it has allowed me to pick up further stock as profits from other investments are re-invested here. In fact I picked up another 7k yesterday. | clocktower
04/12/2015 08:21 | It's a 2* app on iTunes, 2.9* on Google Play. That's not good, and if I were a new investor I'd pay more attention to what the customers were saying about the product rather than you or I or any magazine article. And they are clearly staying away. | sinkyj
04/12/2015 08:00 | You can also find lists of very positive feed-back, as you say not all negative and many look forward to the introduction of new features. The problem as far as I understand it,is that they are unable to keep up with the demands from several market areas, ie. the adjustments Havells require, the demands for new features and testing plus retail demand until they scale the team upwards.DYOR | clocktower
04/12/2015 03:22 | There is no disputing the promise or the fact that the market will really accelerate next year, I'm hearing that from many suppliers. That's why I'm still invested. What seriously needs to change is the execution, Currently the "NEW" new IOS app has a *2* Star rating, and the New "old" Android app as it's actually the old app, *2.7*. Both actually worse than the previous Apps and now a reasonable sample of approximately 80 reviews each. If you don't want to read then the summary is. IOS - Nice looking, improvement, released buggy and usability suspect. Android - annoyed because it's not actually new, and the old faults aren't even fixed. Anybody (re)selling this must be tearing their hair out because it matters. It's also things that should have been found with a decent beta program. For those who don't use the equipment here are some of the recent customer reactions. Not all bad, that's the frustration because it's not so much it they are wrong, just the release badly executed for iOS and expectations badly managed for Android. I have have said before it isn't "new" at all. The iOS app looks at first glance a big improvement but my own experience and that of others is not great. Some strange choices, almost like the developers and directors don't use their own equipment. As an example the ON/OFF buttons have been reversed, contrary to the logical operation as most switches in Ios are on to the right, but also more importantly different to the last app and indeed the Lightwave Remotes and products where On is on the right. Not a big thing but several people have needed to write this and it shows a serious lack of attention to the detail, which shows in other more technical places. IOS --- Years waiting for a redesign and this is what we get ll! by Davey Bear - 20 Nov. 2015 Did the designers of the new app do any usability testing at all I wonder. Text is hard to read and the app isn't user friendly at all. We waited 2 years (at least) for an upgrade and this is what we get. Such a shame. the hardware is great, although has now fallen behind alternatives in features sets. At time of launch Iightwaverf had a chance to take the market by storm and they failed because then produced poor control software like this app and didn‘t stay ahead of demand with hardware. Thank goodness I got fed up waiting for the heating and went with one of the two now main stream alternatives. The hub also remains buggy, are timers going to work or aren't they?? Open up your API's to IFTI’ and let someone else do the software designing and sack you team and maybe you will survive. In the meantime I'm slowly going to replace my house wide installation with Philips living colours, more expensive but at least it will work. Sad they didn't manage to finally pull their finger out, shame on you Iightwaverf. Mediocre! New app is just old wine in new bottle! * by G Sudhir - 20 Nov, 2015 I have been using Lightwaverf devices for a while and 0 like the devices. If only the software which controls these devices were better.... I have 6 radiator TFlV thermostats from LVRW. I installed them to save energy by turning off radiators when rooms are not occupied. But the app is so fiddly to use to change the setting. LWRF please take note: I have the study thermostat set to a timer which is a guess of when I might be using this room. If I want to get the heating on off the schedule. it is not easy to have the temp changed to what I want very quickly and retain that It would be perfect if there was override switch for a day of a period of 2-3 days(user adjustable) so that I could override the timer easily. Hope LWRF improves the app. Weak by Matt wize - 11 Nov, 2015 The app is just a shinier version of the last one and equally, if not more. useless. It now shows that a device is active/on, even though it isn't actually on! This is because there is no two way communication between the app and devices is its just telling you it's on when you switch it on rather than actually telling you the realtime status. In short, it's lying to you if the device has failed to trigger, which does happen quite often. This is more of a problem when being controlled remotely and not based in your home network. My created events don't seem to trigger or turn on at all more Android ------- Kas Hunt 3 December 2015 Still Awful Despite emails to the contrary, the Android version is still terrible, and apparent uncharged from the previous awful version. Nic Doherty 3 December 2015 Advertised features only for iOS Nearly identical to the old clunky android app, with none of the improvements promised in your marketing emails michael hern 3 December 2015 Poor The app looks the same as the old one what a waste of time and all of my heating has vanished need to try a lot harder lightwave as an installer have recommended you in the past what a regret... Lukasz Szafraniec 3 December 2015 No diffrence from old version. Why would you release the same app with new icon. Email stated, that i can use my pocyures, where is this option? Andy H 3 December 2015 What's changed? I thought I reinstalled the same app. But no its the new one. Having said that I've never had any app or hardware problems. Good kit Tom Clayton 3 December 2015 Nothing like on Apple? Why say you've released a brand new app that looks no different? The Apple version is totally revamped, Android looks no different! Russell Pollock 3 December 2015 Nothing like ios It works but looks identical to before whereas iOS gets a complete make over? Chris Taylor 3 December 2015 Premature launch Uninstalled the old app that looked old hoping the new one would be an improvement. Can't even log on to the new one with an error message saying that it can't create. Heating You say you'll look into the heating feedback update problem but it's been 2 years. How long does it really take to sort this? You should be ashamed of your development team. They are loosing you customers, the stockist I used to get my products from no longer stocks lightwaverf because "it's unreliable" and they "can't deal with the complaints any more". You have until nest is widely compatible then you will end up in administration... And you know it! Is that why you don't bother fixing bugs? | sinkyj
03/12/2015 23:05 | Nice article in the BQWM clocktower. For a company that has stayed silent whilst we await update, Shermers comments gives us an insight into what we could expect. I am not saying it will happen but it looks promising. I don't think even their brokers are forecasting that turnover. If the fact that companies are coming to them is to be believed then they are getting noticed. All leads to a rerating of the shares. Time will tell. | dnadan

27/11/2015 17:41 | michaelmouse - you may, or may not, be correct. But your posts are designed to incite argument (of the non-useful variety). Take it elsewhere with clocktower please. If you want to create sensible discussion about LWRF, feel free. Regards. | mg78

27/11/2015 15:21 | I saw a comment on one of the LWRF community forums of a user complaining that there isn't enough LWRF stock about. LWRF responded by saying due to unforseen demand they were having trouble keeping up, but were working to increase production...Chuckle | whoppy
27/11/2015 15:20 | You mean the way you see it and I guess that goes for mm who unlike you,is a parasite that just follows ( a stalker) due to AEO stock rising and falling in line with my comments as luck would have it.:-) Let us hope we get lucky here JMF69 and mm does not get his wishes. | clocktower |
