LGO will have to raise more cash soon, regardless of who is the CEO. It has risen on hot air and TW ramping, this will result in a placing before the bubble bursts, imo. LGO is a loss maker and having oil in the ground is different from having it in the pipeline. NR tried deep drilling, shallow drilling,work-overs,reperforations but nothing worked. Talk is now of water-flood being the magic panacea here but if that was likely to work why didn't NR try it? He tried everything else. The answer is cost and the patchy nature of Trinidad oil. Evidently the oil has migrated up from lower down creating pockets of oil but this may mean that waterflood is an unworkable pipe-dream. A £16m market cap is far too high for what is a big loss making company with no guarantee of success but a track record of serial placings.

What will happen when Koot re-launches LGO? My guess is a massive sell off, as the hot money 'sells the news'. This share price is silly, far too high and anyone buying today deserves to get the screwing that they will get, imo.

The north,

It would be quite remarkable if LK can do similar here to what he achieved with TAQA. If he gets us to 20-30k bopd and a large cap I'd be over the moon. A couple of good expo wells in the right south American country and you just never know. Goudron and an effective water flood could take us most of that way, or even one deep Cedros oil discovery. Its all to play for, exciting times for the next few years that's for sure. Looking forward to see this week's presentation to start the ball rolling.

Ccr, yeah hopefully they'll get some cheapuns now and LK will show us all hows its done, sentiment will quickly change here if LK picks the right strategy.

Regards,
Ed.

I am surprised that anyone is still buying this massive loss maker, placing or seda tap deal soon imo,as they need cash just to keep the lights on here!

Yes Ed, at least it gives the long term sufferers a chance to maybe average down a bit if they still have any appetite for this !

Nash,

Yeah should be around £30m cap here on current 2P reserves and production. Then add in the Koot effect and it should easily be competing with ECHO in terms of cap, at least. Mr Koot has an even more impressive track record turning TAQA from zero production to 60,000bopd. He's really keen on the LGO assets too which says it all in terms of quality and potential. So its good to see folks able to buy while this remains a bargain.

Regards,
Ed.

12bn - you ask why didn't NR try water flood - those who research know that water flood was the plan for the field from the outset and NR was always telling us that - he even used it as the justification for the C Sands drilling programme.NR also told us water flood was expensive - the pilot was estimated at $1 million and had to be justified.

12bn for someone who boasts they don't bother researching this company because they are not invested you certainly have a lot to say - including now, seemingly, detailed knowledge of the pockets of oil LOL - what's certain is you were telling people to sell at 2p now it's 3p are you going to reimburse all those out of pocket on your advice 12bn?

To put the madness of the current share price/ market cap. into context I was having a look at the current status of BPC.

- BPC have no P2 reserves and LGO have 12m BOE.
- BPC cash balance at end of 2016 was $1m and LGO currently have around $2.5m.
- BPC have no production and LGO have around 500 BOPD.
- BPC market cap is £15m and LGO is £17m.
- LGO have Leo Koots!!!

The AIM market can remain distorted for a long time and it takes time for true value to come to fruition. You need to have the patience to see these mis-understood investment opportunities out.

Wonder if we should expect a RNS on Thursday in advance of the evenings launch/presentation. Hope so for the many who cannot attend later. Likewise a PDF and presentation recording on, presumably, the new Columbus website?

Like quite a few s/hs, big loss to claw back, can't wait to hear specific details of 25++ opportunities identified by Stewart Ahmed and the solid work program starting this month.

Ccr I echo that sentiment... just shows you that perhaps some of the criticism of NR was right all be it he kept the company going LK is very much a different beast... If it keep going I'll actually be in profit but only of course if I decide to sell...!

12bn - picking numbers out of the air and reliance on TW has been the basis of your posting here for as long as I can remember but don't worry 12bn you can always fall back on your, now legendary, own research - wait a mo - didn't you boast you didn't do any because you weren't invested!

I am pleased this has consolidated around 3p. I expect it will run up to 4p next week in anticipation of a significant announcement in addition to a detailed strategy debrief.
