05/6/2017 15:24 | From Mooncheese on Sou LSE bb SOU malcy on audioboom Today 14:01 I think this may interest Sound shareholders - but was very much in two minds to post here - so apologies if this is not for you. I have not invested in Echo - but have just taken a small punt in LGO energy. They have a new man there - Leo Koot. Like JP he is ex-Shell. He is re-directing the Company towards S.America. Malcy is suggesting that Echo may take a 30% stake in another company. In the same audioboom broadcast (today's ) he suggests LGO may seek 30% financing from another company. Not hard to add 2 + 2. So for Sound investors who missed out on Echo, this would seem like a cheap way to get in through the back door (maybe with Echo and LGO to merge eventually? Or Sound to buy them both out?). That's why I posted on this Sound board. Hope it's of interest to all. | jcgswims
05/6/2017 15:17 | Hey Ed, Great to be debating with someone in a sensible manner, though be careful you don't upset 'the guardian' about having traded the stock! Thanks for the summary on Leo's credentials. Enlightening and re-assuring to put it mildly. Having suffered through the reign of Ritson, I am excited about the future and hope we can get away from these 'dripping taps' of nodding donkeys to something that truly puts us on the map. Just have to be patient to learn about his strategy. I am fortunate enough that I have more than recovered my earlier losses and retain a steady long term interest with a bit of trading to help top ups! | holly day
05/6/2017 15:05 | Holly, I'm well aware of Goudron having traded LGO many times over the years. Its a quality asset that needs the right strategy to get more of that 1bn STOOIP out. If anyone can Leo can. His background comes from Shell first, then TAQA which are a large North Sea producer thanks to Mr Koot. He brings in a top class team from his time in the North Sea and Kurdistan, so I'm expecting things to change here at a pace now that Mr Koot is in charge. TAQA are pretty much the Abu Dhabi national oil co, so Mr Koot's got plenty of contacts with the right people. When you look at Goudron its remarkably similar geologically to the NS fields that Mr Koot worked with. In that its high quality sandstone reservoirs, intermediate API oil and the reservoir is high porosity and permeability. Its also got similar drive issues, lack of GOR/aquifer drive, so like many NS fields seems to require pressure support to maintain a regular decline rate. Its quite handy to have a guy that learned the business in Shell and is a NS specialist at the helm, well I think his background is highly suitable to getting a lot of bang for his buck from Goudron. Regards, Ed. | edgein
05/6/2017 15:04 | Readers who are fed up with 12bn constantly posting on a share he doesnt own might like to pop over to the KOD thread, where he owns some. I believe that company has no revenues and is heading to zero. I'd be interested to know anyone elses thoughts over there. | 12bm
05/6/2017 14:56 | 12bn - rrrrrrrrrrREBMIT - I know how these share price movements give you so much pleasure - even though you claim not to have a financial interest here - how's the train spotting going? | arrynillson
05/6/2017 14:53 | bigdazzler, rest assured I am chuffed to b*ggers that it's holding and buyers are still happy to come in at this level. As always, just cautious about the effect of 'tips' driven rally. Hopefully LK is watching and makes an opportune announcement....not the type that says, they know of no reason for the recent surge!! Lol! Edgelin, Not bothered about what Leo has done else where, it's more a case of what he has inherited here and how he goes about returning shareholder value. This is Trinidad we are dealing with. I haven't looked in to where geographically Leo achieved his success.... unless it was subtle ramp! :0) | holly day
05/6/2017 14:41 | Holly I think your find the 3p sell target by the article stated it maybe boring and cautious and expects exciting weeks ahead. | bigdazzler
05/6/2017 14:36 | 3p is just £15m cap, not even close when it comes to current 2P let alone that large contingent. Leo turned TAQA into a 60,000boepd giant, look at ECHO for example, its valued entirely on its management and they've had a fraction of the success that Mr Koot brings here let alone the assets already at LGO (ECHO is a shell pretty much with sticky history in Egypt). This one should be trading much higher. Mr Koot has that investment fund so not only is he looking for bang from his buck, he's not short of a lot of buck already. :) Regards, Ed. | edgein
05/6/2017 14:29 | was over 4p just few months back, NR out should be quickly back there | knicol46
05/6/2017 14:15 | Well, let's hope it finds a new higher floor. The TW note refers to sell at 3p...need new buyers or news to push on. One assumes the overhang is cleared as not seen much in the way of 'big' sells of late. | holly day
05/6/2017 14:11 | 12bn - why not short it if you're that confident - quite a margin down to 2p - someone shorting would want to be posting any old tosh on here in spades to support that position wouldn't they 12bn? | arrynillson
05/6/2017 14:08 | Well I'm up for a multibagger from here!!! | bigdazzler
05/6/2017 14:04 | 3p is here - although even this is still only 0.15p b4 consolidation | knicol46
05/6/2017 13:51 | Colombian heavy oil reminds me of Black Rock Oil and Gas. I've started to sweat at the thought. | ride daice
05/6/2017 13:44 | Good volume again today, I guess its folks buying in anticipation of Leo's review and ahead of his first South American acquisition. Who knows, now that we've got a SAGD expert on the team with that petroleum engineer perhaps he'll go after one of the shallow Colombian heavy oil fields. $25-75m loan from his fund would go a long way to add significant 2P on top of Goudron's 11mmbbls. Although with 60mmbbls contingent recoverable at Goudron waterflood must be high on the agenda too. Regards, Ed. | edgein
05/6/2017 13:01 | tidy 2,why don't you invest more here? You can then watch your money flow away as this pump n dump plays out! 2p and below soon enough imo. :) | 12bn
05/6/2017 12:25 | I'm in on the chart my first target is 4p plus. | bigdazzler
05/6/2017 12:24 | Malcy on LGO from 20mins10secs | jcgswims
05/6/2017 11:37 | Thanks for the tip here 12b. Cool PM | tidy 2
05/6/2017 11:34 | I know WhiskeyInTheJar...es | holly day
05/6/2017 11:27 | Holly, the BP discovery is certainly good for Trinidads oil industry. And Trinidad and part of Venezuela sit in the same geological basin. But TW says that "the biggie" is that the BP discovery may extend into LGO acreage some 200km away on the south west peninsula. This is ramping imo. | whiskeyinthejar
05/6/2017 11:11 | WhiskeyInTheJar, Using TW's term "Nearology"! Depending on the size of the field, considering the projected amount of gas BP state, imo, not unreasonable for folks to refer to being 'in the vicinity'. Sure LGO is presently restricted to on-shore drilling, but there are opportunities. In the past folks associated Trinidad in the Venezuela proximity....a lot more than 80 km! Besides, still nice to have a big player making discoveries in your neighbourhood. | holly day
05/6/2017 10:30 | Macadamia well is 10 kilometres south of the producing Cashima field. So plenty of infrastructure around already. You can see where Cashima is on ngc map (80km east of Trinidad in East Mayaro block), so it's beyond me how anyone can claim its near LGO assets on south west peninsula: | whiskeyinthejar
05/6/2017 09:59 | The Guardian - 04 Jun 2017 - 18:02 - 8030 of 8039 - 0Spot on !!!! I can't see how Leo will raise more funds without issuing more shares. When asked that question during the proactive investors interview he dodged the question! He's obviously a clever man and will probably think of other ways that I can't. | offerman |
