wllm - oh that they were all like this one (for me).

I'm back to 150% gain plus @175% of initial outlay as dividends.

Skinny's original buy price in LGEN is mental, below £1, what's the yield Skinny, I can't remember?

That's the kind of trade you can easily retire on, unfortunately, these opportunities don't come along often and it's usually during a crisis when the end of the world is nigh and pressing the buy button is anxiety-provoking. Takes courage.

wllm :)

But, as I bought at an average of 227.1p over the low points throughout this year MY yield at 20.34 is 8.956%

I've quickly realised since I started looking after my own pension in March this year that it is critical to buy a divi. payer at the lowest possible share price and lock-in that high (personal) yield.

adejuk: ...and C10% divi.

Not quite. At 249p on the last 12 months divis of 19.64p the trailing yield is 7.9%. I think they have indicated a 5% rise so as the 22 divi was 19.37p, the potential 23 divi is 20.34p making a forecast yield of 8.2%.

Still very high but following the recent share price rise, the yield is now well below the 10% mark on which it was trading earlier.

Yes looking good right now and a chance we could end the year flat.

That may sound negative but it's not at all when you take into account the divi. With rate cuts to come in the future everything bodes well in my opinion for 2024.

Good luck all 👍🏻

I would be surprised if there isn't a statement to mark the end of Nigel Wilson's tenure as CEO on 31 Dec, having been in the c-suite since 2009. Some commentary on what has been achieved during his time, and an up to date view of the healthy trading and outlook of LGEN, would be appropriate. And how about a life peerage in the New Year's Honours. Would get my vote. His defence of the dividend which we small investors depend on has been most welcome, he has always seemed a pretty decent bloke to me, thanks Nigel.

Hey guys. Keep it polite, clean and on-topic please. No personal comments either. Don't really want any festive banning orders.

Big Tom and Philomena insured their banjo and washboard with Legal & General CWA1.
