Remember doubters we have the highest tax burden since uncle Albert was in the war everything is broken almost beyond repair the cost to fix it all astronomical given the scope of neglect and where does that burden eventually fall! And how does that affect an already broken economy addicted to debt? Well I will leave you to think about that while my spending power still gets me smashed lol.

Obviously I can’t say when but my feeling is at some point reality kicks in and markets start to panic slightly before a full on meltdown. Unsustainable government spending and borrowing along with a whole host of other challenges are being ignored and my experience says get out because when that penny does drop all hell will break loose remember limited fire power is left!

"The Times reported last week that Walgreens Boots Alliance was closing in on a deal to hand over responsibility for its £4.5 billion defined benefit pension scheme to Legal & General. Pensions expert John Ralfe said Walgreens would need to pay L&G £1 billion to take on the scheme because insurers use more conservative assumptions to value future liabilities."

Lots of market big hitters suggesting the U.S markets have got way ahead of themselves and that further shocks are looming in many areas and there seems to be a misguided belief that the FED is done raising rates. The big uncertainty comes in January when the government tries to sell a bucket load of more debt and the belief that investors will want much more for the added risk on that debt given the belief they have lost control on spending another debt ceiling showdown must also be imminent.

Should read Jeremy we need the funds to further legitimately rob the general populace in the epic race to the bottom we cannot emphasise enough that we fully support the ideals and huge commissions that we await like vampires.

Jeremy Hunt must end the "'vicious cycle" of Britain's stock market decline, FTSE 100 chiefs have warned.Julia Hoggett, chief executive of the London Stock Exchange (LSE), along with dozens of members of the Capital Markets Industry Taskforce, urged the Chancellor to introduce sweeping reforms to revive investment in the City.HSBC boss Noel Quinn and BP chairman Helge Lund were among the signatories of the taskforce's letter to Mr Hunt, which raised concerns over new figures showing £1.9 trillion has been pulled from UK stock markets by UK pension and insurance companies over the past 23 years. The warning came as Hotel Chocolat was sold to US conglomerate Mars, as the retailer emerged as the latest listed business to be acquired by a foreign buyer.A flurry of exits from the London Stock Exchange, combined with a dearth of listings, has raised fears over Britain's competitiveness on the global financial stage.

Ok you had the bond debacle that cost a lot of folks big now Jeremy is getting your fund into stocks what could go wrong! Personally given any governments track record and they certainly have form you would be better off managing your own pension with the help of an octopus of course. I can see certain unscrupulous types salivating with the idea.

Will he won t he

Doesn t matter we have a serious funding shortfall and in my layman's opinion taxes need to be raised not cut.

People need to be encouraged to save and invest but they shouldn't be penalised for doing so.

Short selling needs to be stopped and that would give investors more confidence but at the moment companies are being taken to their knees and the hedge funds who bankroll the Tory party are making a killing at our expense.

I thought Theresa May was useless but Rishi Sunak makes her shine in comparison to himself and his lack lustre gurning cabinet ministers

I will stay long and collect the dividend not many better alternatives.

I see in the FT that Hunt is determined to expand the remit of the Pension Protection Fund to take on healthy DB schemes. Looks like a state backed competitor is going to blow up the BPA market and do serious damage to the growth prospects of Lgen, Aviva etc.
