03/5/2016 09:17 | Specto, Agreed. I managed to offload a few at over 42p thanks to ST, but it looks like a long haul from here on the others. | tiltonboy
03/5/2016 08:53 | None left here but if I had any I'd have sold on the ST ramp. Today's RNS not great: "For illustrative purposes, if the average of the two existing appraisals was used to determine NAV as at 31st December 2015 then the resultant NAV for Leaf as at this date would have been US$62.8 million or 50.74 cents per share (34.71 pence per share at today's exchange rate). " | spectoacc
19/4/2016 14:36 | ST last para: The bottom line is that I feel that it’s worth buying Leaf Clean Energy’s now around the 38p level in advance of the third party appraisers releasing their report later this month. If their valuation comes anywhere close to the $95m valuation placed on the company’s 2.3 per cent stake in Invenergy, valuing the equity of that group at $4.1bn, then Lead Clean Energy’s shares could easily soar to 50p, or beyond. From my lens at least, the investment risk looks skewed to the upside | cockerhoop

22/1/2016 11:10 | Dollar strength against sterling has improved the £ nav by a few pence in recent weeks. It is a month since the exercise day for the put option in invenergy, I wonder if the holding is being actively marketed. Also it was mooted several months ago that they would seek an exit from energia escalona after project financing was completed in q4/2015. We seem to have two chances of another cash distribution in the first half of the year. | flyfisher
04/1/2016 09:27 | lawyers always make loads of cash on both sides,leeches....... | vfleetsons@aol.com
22/12/2015 15:23 | Interesting that LEAF chose today to lodge the complaint in the Delaware court - the very same day the put/call comes into play. Just coincidence... surely not? The more I think about this, the more it just feels like a leverage play to get Invenergy to come to the table -sooner rather than later - with an acceptable offer to both parties on the stake and/or the supposed $126m payment duty. | bumpa33
22/12/2015 12:52 | my trade still not showing, WINS were bidding 50k, Liberum 25k, not much on offer. Very surprised there's not more interest in this when CA have done me proud this last year, hoping for the same here. | bumpa33
22/12/2015 10:15 | christ, all morning spent trying to get just 25k, finally managed it at 36.5 | bumpa33
22/12/2015 08:11 | Specto - i doubt it, this isn't really LEAF remember, it's Crystal Amber, Invesco and Weiss. edit: and Crystal Amber in particular are pretty good at extracting what they want from a situation, having followed them in a few opportunities. | bumpa33
22/12/2015 07:57 | i'd imagine this is 'first move' in the chess game... | bumpa33
22/12/2015 07:45 | LEAF comes out fighting - staking a claim on the $126m payment it believes is due from Invenergy. This is in addition to any sale of the 2.3% stake I assume? This could get very interesting ;) | bumpa33
21/12/2015 18:30 | flyfisher - thanks for confirming, i guess we're sitting at such a discount to total NAV (59.4p) as per last interims due to the uncertainty of timing/level of sale of the stake in Invenergy... Curious to debate, if 930mw is worth $2b (which Invenergy retain a near 10% stake in) what is the remaining 8000mw of (developed and to be developed) projects worth? hxxp://www.chicagobu | bumpa33
21/12/2015 17:24 | Bumpa, A deferred tax provision has already been made for a potential sale at book value, any premium to this would incur a 40% tax charge. | flyfisher
21/12/2015 16:08 | picked a few of these up last week, surprised (or not perhaps) that the Invenergy sale has not been RNS'd yet - maybe they're waiting until after 22nd when the Put/Call option becomes effective? According to the LEAF website the stock is 90% held by insti's, on Bloomberg terminal it says over 100% (obviously some mistake there) but with Crystal, Invesco and Weiss taking up the lions share of that, this for me is very interesting. The carry value of LEAF's 2.3% at $95m seems on the low side considering the recent $2b sale by Invenergy of just 10% of their projects under long term contract? What are the tax implications on the sale of the 2.3% stake? Anyone else think that $95m is on the low side? Am i missing something blindingly obvious - as per usual?! | bumpa33
17/12/2015 12:07 | mms quoting in 1k only when I tried to add. | flyfisher
17/12/2015 11:54 | Expected this to move up a bit more than it has | badtime
16/12/2015 18:05 | Bet those who sold first thing this morning will be a tad miffed | badtime
16/12/2015 16:56 | Thanks tiltonboy. It looks like LEAF will be testing the strength of the put option within a few weeks. | flyfisher |
