Leaf have written down remaining investments in VREC and Energia with a previous book value of circa £1m to nil. With a market cap of £140k and yet holding several million for tax, provisions and a staggering 1.3m wind up estimate, i wonder if it could be closed down at a lesser cost.
Given that only 114k shares remain in issue, it is unsurprising that nomura took 30% immediately on requote x distribution. I tried to add but am locked out as a PI as their is no KID.
The gamble is that they have estimated wind up costs and tax on the high side and that the written down investments may actually be sold at some time in the future. Also, the nomura client may see value in the shell.

Not that it matters all that much to me, as my remaining shares are of only nominal value! Just interested.

Good news, after hours, of the success in the final part of the legal case.

It should produce another redemption in a month or so of about 90% at 150p.

"The Redemption Price per Share shall be 151.94 pence (by reference to the Leaf Board's estimate of the NAV per Share as at 31 May 2019). The Redemption will be effected pro rata to holdings of Shares on the register at the close of business on the Redemption Record Date being 9 August 2019. Approximately 66.47% of the Company's issued share capital will be redeemed on the Redemption Date (that is 66.47 Shares for every 100 Shares held (the "Relevant Percentage"). Fractions of Shares will not be redeemed and so the number of Shares to be redeemed for each Shareholder will be rounded down to the nearest whole number of Shares.

Payments of redemption proceeds are expected to be effected either through CREST (in the case of Shares held in uncertificated form) or by cheque (in the case of Shares held in certificated form) by 16 August 2019. Shareholders will be paid their redemption proceeds in Sterling."

Looks to me like 150p will be the final distribution unless they lose on the interest appeal for the $30m which I doubt.

I must admit I have sold most of mine: partly strategic as they had converted dollars to sterling, which didn't make much sense to me, and partly tactical as dislocations can present value opportunities down the line.
