Well, that's it folks. Cash arrived today. Apart from those who bought at the share price peak at the end of 2013 this should be a respectable outcome even if not exciting. I have to wonder what may have happened without the bid (good cash generation, no debt, essential H+S product, moat provided by patents) but we shall never know.

cookerhoop and sharw:> Many thanks - Big question is where to reinvest the cash or hold for further market turmoil and possible better entry points. Most stocks and certainly bonds looking to expensive and debt cliff looming in US subject to congress agreeing higher limits.

However a nice position to be in with dry powder.

Next Steps and Timetable

Completion of the Acquisition remains subject to satisfaction or waiver of the other Conditions set out in the Scheme Document including the sanction by the Court of the Scheme at the Scheme Court Hearing and the delivery of a copy of the Scheme Court Order (which has been duly stamped by HMRC) to the Registrar of Companies. The expected timetable of principal events for the implementation of the Scheme is set out on page 6 of the Scheme Document. Subject to the Court sanctioning the Scheme and the satisfaction or waiver of the other conditions, the Scheme is expected to become Effective before the end of October 2015. Latchways will apply to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange for, respectively, the listing of Latchways Shares on the Official List and the trading of the Latchways Shares on the Main Market, to be suspended with effect from 7.30 a.m. (London time) on 16 October 2015.

Take a look at GWMO, also exploring for minerals on a vast area in Nevada. Gold+Copper+Silver. GWMO Mkt Cap only £1.3mill, with cash in the bank and zero debt.

Wow.....yet another cash bid for one of my holdings...that is my 7th this year and the strong dollar seems to be adding the fuel to the fire. I am extremely fortunate on this one having bought in at the lows ahead of the results intending to just take the divi and await recovery.

I am not sure how the longer term holders who may have bought at higher prices will view this ?

Lovely news. The institutional irrevocables are soft -- not binding if a new bidder offers 10% [or 5%] more.

Here is just one example of what I was meaning in my earlier post this morning re- to not trusting management....

"As highlighted in previous trading updates, we have experienced a difficult and disappointing two years, in response to which we have made significant investments in our sales infrastructure to restore growth. We expect a significant return. The new teams are only recently in place so it is too early to judge their success".

Now if that isnt a contradiction I dont know what is.

And the Report is packed full of them.

Oh, and nearly half the price these were at 2 years ago, if you want recovery potential imo.
