No, as there is going to be a stock market crash some time in the future where I'll be able to pick up good solid companies for 30% to 50% less then they are now, yielding well in excess of 10%.

I've done this before and now some of my shares are yielding over 30% on my original investment price.

I am not a trader in stocks, buying and selling, then buying back in a gain and selling. I buy and usually hold for around 10 years.

Have you considered that you may be missing an opportunity as with Aviva.

I am building up a Watch list of around 20 stocks, maybe 5 or 6 I'll buy into during the next market crash.

Compared to many, I think Land Securities could be hit overly hard, much more then they will deserve to be.

(Off topic) loganair - National Grid? Both Lab and Con are questioning its role:

Looking forward, Land Securities I have just put on my watch list to possibly buy during the next recession and stock market crash.

Joins Aviva, BT, BAE, National Grid and Diagio.

There's quite a movement to reform business rates, and the new chancellor isn't a tinhead when it comes to the concerns of business. Whether it will do anything to slow, let alone reverse, the decline in physical retail is uncertain, of course:

Almost tempted to buy in 760s but plumped for Pru and invp. Probably wrong to buy anything but all these look overly hit.

Superb call. 817 a great entry point. This one has got everything going for it: Long WALT's. Best in class product. Blown out NAV. Top notch governance. Transparency. Solid yield. Low LTV. Liquidity. Reducing short from a legendary investor. Old skool blue chip. Great long term hold. Quality.

shorts have reduced from 1.29% on 9th April to just 0.71% currently.

and that's the revered house of Elliott Capital - the sole declared shorter - which has reduced.

The yield of 5.6% is astonishing against such a buoyant and confident outlook despite well-flagged Brexit uncertainty.

on 25th June, Peel Hunt REITERATED HOLD with TARGET of 900p

a day earlier on 24th, RBC CapMar REITERATED OUTPERFORM with TARGET of 1100p

Within last couple of months, other brokers have given TARGETS of:-

Goldman 807p
Liberum 950p
JPM Caz 1000p
Deutsche 1020p

Not frequently that you can get LandSec at 5.6% with such relatively strong broker reco's, with RBC seeing 35% UPSIDE and JPM seeing almost 25% UPSIDE.

Driving yesterday's great performance:-

Deutsche Bank issued a broker note and

1. UPGRADED to a BUY RECOMMENDATION(from Hold) and

2. INCREASED their TARGET PRICE to 1020p (from 940p)

Been a good recovery here; then today another 3%+ rise to 935p! Could be3 headed even higher. Is there more to this rise than the recovery of an oversold value stock?

Certainly a great looking chart with more than one Reverse Head & Shoulders boosting these from the 875p level...

Remarkable recent performance by both LAND and BLND. Up nearly 20% since the January lows.

Hugopants you can thank the like of Sadiq Khan, super smart, wise, pious and brimming full of integrity. His hard work alone is enough to push up LAND share price
