maybe the chairman will do something about the discount
if everyone believes the discount is a fair valuation of the properties then they might as well write them down to save on tax if they paid any

Interim Divi up a 10% from 17.9p to 19.7p.

Bodes well for similar increase to final divi.

Just had another few.

HLCL is my main sector holding, added this AM.

May's speech tomorrow, sentiment sour with Brexit.

I topped up yesterday also. The date for the 60p special dividend should be announced soon which may spark some interest.

Picked up a few of these. Look good value at below 1000p. 30% discount to NAV, approx 4% forward yield and 60p special dividend (date to be announced).

Not yet in bargain territory by a good measure.

When it hits 750-800p, it will be attractive. But not until then.

LandSecs - like the other property majors- displays worsening symptoms of Brexit-rot.

Re Post 27.

Axiare up 20% in two months.

Land Securities down 7-8%.

That's telling you something when Spanish real estate stocks are outperforming UK real estate stocks.

As much as I believe that Land Securities is an outstanding company, it seems clear that Brexit-rot has set into the UK real estate market.

Fears that parts of the UK corporate population will desert London for mainland Europe will spur ongoing weakness and foster doubt over occupancy levels and rental yield for some time to come.

At current yield, it seems to me in a Brexit world that Land Secs now neither 1) offers a particularly attractive yield , nor 2) offer much prospect of revaluation uplifts - but possible downards valuations.

Turned bearish on the sector since September.

Down 7% just over the last month and 25% over a year. Not good.

Have now sold all holdings in LandSecs and will hope to reinvest in better times.
