BGI got me into FTSE gilt warrant 8.4% tax free; bombed out 1st year but year
end of year 2, August get 8.4% net year 1 and year 2 provided index above 4500.
So in a way glad it bombed out 1st year; could current sell my 100k for £113.5k.

Very interesting, however I could never short my own shares

Are these boring Index linked worth considering -- inflation is with us now, therefore the RPI must catch up pretty soon

Well the charts, RSI ETC don't back up shorting at all. Have about £0.75M In
stocks/pension/ftse longs; things going swimmingly after unlevel investor
playing field; i guess it's some insurance against the unexpected but accept
it may prove that i should have waited for downside momentum etc.
I read recently that having some short position in place if you are significantly invested my be a good idea. I think that the lack of return
from cash and inflation looming makes equities a no brainer. Tories should be miles ahead at polls after another Labour Govt financial crises a la the
1970's. I think that China will tighten monetary policy which may depress#
miners.By Sept this year we should be in the clear.
Gut feeling i guess, timing is everything, we'll see.

Still short; not convinced i am right; but then since i bought the market each day has moved up; so i guess it's now a hedge vs the next mega thing to come out of the woodwork.

director buy need treating wirh caution.
this guy gets a whole bunch of shares this june, also june 2011, and june 2012.

if i was in his shoes i would buy some now to get onto the directors buy lists in the hope that some gullible suckers will follow my example and kick start the share price.
