How exposed is LRE to the Suez event?

I've doubled my holding here after doubling up on Beazley and adding Conduit Holdings. Sold Helios Underwriting, but may re-enter. Its looking a good time to invest at the moment in my view. To be able to invest in Lancashire at 10% lower than the placing last year, is pretty good value in my opinion. They have excellent firepower to take advantage of an upturn in the insurance cycle.

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast last week and part of our discussion includes the outlook for Insurance Stocks like LRE, particularly with Premium Rates rising.

Let's be Frank... Unjustified recent rally? The following paragraph from their recent final results is a concern:

"While reserves have been recorded, UNCERTAINTY exists on the EVENTUAL ULTIMATE LOSSES in relation to the hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes and wildfires as loss information after these types of events can take some time to obtain. The Group's reserve estimates for these natural catastrophe events were derived from a combination of market data and ASSUMPTIONS, a limited number of provisional loss advices, limited client loss data and modelled loss projections. As additional information emerges, the Group's ACTUAL ULTIMATE LOSS MAY VARY, PERHAPS MATERIALLY, from the current reported reserves."
