13/12/2024 15:53 | Still waiting for mine at Trading212. Anyone else using 212? Just so I am not going mad here, I bought my shares on the 12th Nov, this should have been in time for the dividend, right? | furtive_flatulator
13/12/2024 15:48 | Got it in at iDealing | cwa1
13/12/2024 15:21 | Looking at my account keenly for the dividend to arrive! | 1knocker
11/12/2024 09:57 | Not often is the opportunity for good capital growth combined with excellent dividend income - it is here! Against the risk background management should have an excellent opportunity to further improve margins. | sparki2

16/11/2024 14:50 | BME knocker, but don't invest yet. chart is looking horrible, might go down to c300p | sigmund freud
16/11/2024 14:43 | entirely agree knocker & Louis catastrophe insurance losses (and just as importantly the premiums for these) are getting much better understood. nice to hear the reality from someone with property in a risk area. fundamentals good finances good returns excellent (I wish I had a chart with all my dividends reinvested on it) true yield not showing up to the masses due to specials not being accounted for chart trending up despite the huge payouts and psychologically a good time to enter just after the XD anyone with any significant ISA holdings should have this in their portfolio. And keep holding it. | sigmund freud
15/11/2024 18:51 | Yeah, the way it got through an unprecedented hurricane season etc and still upped its special dividend was impressive. Fully Expect SD again in March. | j2m
15/11/2024 16:37 | This is a hidden gem.It is staggering the income it has thrown off over the years. I can't remember who /what tipped me off to it years ago, but if anyone knows of any other stocks paying out anything like as much in specials (and thus not showing up in the published dividend rate), please let me know! | 1knocker
14/11/2024 11:27 | Outsized drop. | justiceforthemany
14/11/2024 10:09 | Forward consensus yield are circa over 12% for the next 3 years. If they can keep underwriting controlled increase asset values in the US should push premiums up for little change in existential risk. Nearly $1Bn expected for post-tax profits on a £1.4Bn market cap seems very good for the risk-reward. With sticky inflation interest rates should benefit the float investment returns leading to increased float profits. One underlying movement that doesn't get much write-up is the exit of capital from the markets. Low interest rates flooded insurance markets but some of this has reversed. This, coupled with increased risk understanding throughout climate change and volatile politics should leave the incumbents with a better competitive advantage. Nice thing about these insurance companies is they don't have much correlation with the rest of the markets. Hallelujah! I also have Beazley. Hiscox is now looking good value. | louis brandeis
14/11/2024 09:36 | But agree it seems overdone and presents a good buying opportunity | eca04bpm1
14/11/2024 09:35 | Sorry getting myself confused - thanks for the clarification | eca04bpm1
14/11/2024 09:13 | eca04bpm1 - no, it should be today. You need to own the shares at COB yesterday to be entitled to receive the dividend. From market open, if you own the shares, you'll receive the dividend - but the share price adjusts accordingly. That's what 'XD' means... | kirkie001
14/11/2024 09:11 | XD at close of play yesterday, Wednesday | buoycat
14/11/2024 08:52 | Shouldn't the large drop be tomorrow if it goes XD today? | eca04bpm1
14/11/2024 08:25 | It's a little overdone though considering we were at 690 a couple of days ago and the div is about 60p. | zangdook
14/11/2024 08:21 | XD of course | redchef
14/11/2024 08:17 | What's driving the drop this morning? | eca04bpm1
08/11/2024 09:32 | Just been through major hurricane season and still paid a great special dividend! Can't see any reason why it won't be same again on SD in March. Bull... what do you refer to when you say 'Last sentence though' | j2m
