03/11/2014 17:40 | CH-IC normally only update on interims and F/y,not IMS. However Shares mag did comment Thurs... "iPhone boost Analysts believe the early success of Apple's iphone6,plus more design-in work chief rival Samsung will bolster sentiment towards shares in Laird through the rest of 2014. Laird supplies electro-magnetic shielding kit among other components. Numis sees 30%-plus upside to the current 311.6p share price," | wynmck
26/10/2014 14:41 | CR and DD - rather hoped that one or both of you might just have made some comment on LRD, particularly you CR as I have respected your contributions going back several years. Regards. CH. | churchtower
26/10/2014 12:40 | Thanks CR....I know exactly what you mean and to be honest this may well be the first and last in Derby as the vast majority are travelling up from the south east and over 300 staying in Derby all three days. I just wanted to be fair to my fellow northerners but I cannot say they have taken this opportunity with both hands at all. Maybe there are very few serious investors within reasonable distance of Derby ?? It is only one hour 25 mins on the train from St Pancras and close to Derby station so not exactly tough for those who want a great investing day out though ! | davidosh
26/10/2014 12:35 | the bulk of investors based in the city - I can't see Londoners being keen to travel to Derby - lazy lot imo, you need to take it to them. I wouldn't travel up to Derby on a dark November day if I could help it and I think I'm a pretty good example of a lazy Londoner imo. Best of luck tho. CR | cockneyrebel

26/10/2014 05:52 | IC have for some time now been recommending Laird and will, it can be reasonably assumed, still recommend a buy next Friday. Here are some of the reasons why this is a strong possibility. The shares have risen 11.6pc so far this year. This compares with the wider FTSE 250, which is down 5pc. The shares trade on 15.8 times forecast earnings, falling to 13.9 times next year. The dividend currently yields 4.3pc and the dividend is forecast to grow more than 8pc in each of the next two years. There are not too many FTSE constituents offering these prospects (if so any ideas would be welcome) which is why I shall continue to hold/buy on any weakness. CH. | churchtower
24/10/2014 17:49 | Not in this week's issue probably because the statement was released too late for it to go to press this week but perhaps it will make an appearance in next week's issue. | werty5
23/10/2014 16:20 | Could be a buy recommendation in tomorrow's Investors Chronicle ? CH. | churchtower
22/10/2014 10:29 | nice statement and xd coming 5 nov for 4.27p | wynmck
22/10/2014 08:14 | Solid figures. Level headed statement. Growing Company with an excellent dividend. Shall continue to hold and buy on any weakness to try to achieve the 3% ! CH. | churchtower
22/10/2014 08:04 | Given the reaction to ARM yesterday. Here's hoping the markets see how well LRD are doing in spite of challenges. | contrarian2investor
22/10/2014 07:17 | Ims not too shabby. | werty5
21/10/2014 17:57 | £3 will certainly be the first barrier that LRD will have to overcome. However it will require the US & Nasdaq markets to behave themselves for a couple of days. Churchtower good luck, you must nearing 3% by now? | contrarian2investor
21/10/2014 09:37 | Bought in once again at the opening this morning. Market appears to be somewhat slow in recognising the relevance of Apple's results yesterday. CH. | churchtower
21/10/2014 05:47 | This should be reflected in Laird's statement due tomorrow. CH. | churchtower
20/10/2014 21:35 | Great figures from Apple results. This should push the share price back towards £3.00 | philipmidgley
20/10/2014 21:34 | Apple beats estimates tonight.... | wynmck
17/10/2014 09:56 | Watched the Apple presentation live yesterday evening. Sufficiently impressed and with the knowledge of Laird's input on EMI etc it further boosted my belief in Laird's future. CH. | churchtower
16/10/2014 13:56 | There have I understand been recent hints that Imagination Technologies could be a target but I suppose Laird could also be considered. I only hope not, for, as will be apparent from my postings, I have high hopes for the long term future of this Company. Statement now only three trading days away. CH. | churchtower
16/10/2014 13:30 | Surely Laird is a prime candidate for a take over. Great share price given the FTSE fall. | philipmidgley
16/10/2014 13:19 | Interestingly Arm Holdings, Imagination Technologies and Laird are all up today prior to Apple's presentation this afternoon. CH. | churchtower

15/10/2014 07:59 | Good to see Laird still expanding into high growth areas. Nice new factory unit gives investors extra confidence. | werty5 |
