10/4/2018 12:02 | Keywords Studios forecasts upgraded by Numis and share prise to £18.65 11:12 12 Feb 2018 Numis upgrades forecasts “We increase 2017 forecasts in line with management's guidance,” Numis analyst Will Wallis said in a note. “For 2018 we also revise up our organic growth forecast (we now model 14% growth in revenues in 2018 from businesses owned at the end of 2016).” The new Numis forecast sees 2018 revenue at €243mln, up from €232mln, while the profit is anticipated at €35.7mln, from €34mln. Wallis added: “We use scenario modelling to derive our 1865p price target, as while we don't include further acquisitions in our forecast model, we think it sensible to assume acquisitions in our valuation.” www.proactiveinvesto | christh
10/4/2018 11:55 | Keywords Studios up sharply after Berenberg increases price target Berenberg has raised its target price for Keywords Studios PLC (LON:KWS) following the two acquisitions announced by the provider of computer game development services. The acquisitions, both of which were focused on beefing up Keywords’ audio services capability, should enhance earnings, prompting upgrades of 1-3% in Berenberg’s forecasts for fiscal 2018-20 and a 20p increase in the target price to 2,060p. Management has previously indicated it aims to make six small bolt-on acquisitions each year and one or two larger purchases, so “further material accretive M&A is inevitable”, in Berenberg’s view. “We maintain our FY18/19 organic growth forecasts of 12.5%/10%, but acknowledge that if current momentum is sustained that is likely to prove conservative,” Berenberg said. Warming to its theme, the bank noted that the number of clients using three or more of Keywords’ services increased to 93 in 2017 from 64 in 2016 and 51 in 2015. It sees this as evidence that computer games publishers and developers are moving away from “tactical outsourcing” towards strategic arrangements with trusted partners. “Keywords also indicated it is seeing some benefits from the rapidly growing eSports market, mostly through the provision of its services for game development and in-game support, but also via marketing and communications management of the events themselves. Keywords highlights that it is continuing to seek out ways to leverage the growth in eSports further,” Berenberg observed. Shares in Keywords were up 7.2% to 1,736p on Tuesday Morning, still more than £3 below Berenberg’s price target, which is based on a discounted cash flow model that does not take into account future acquisitions. www.proactiveinvesto | christh
10/4/2018 11:35 | I can see no end to the thirst for new and better games. My 10 yr old loved fortnite and we have to restrict him but he and his pals are already speaking about what is next. I can only see this hunger increasing in this hi tech world we live in. It does not seem to be a diminishing area and as Andrew Day said he expects outsourcing to rapidly increase towards 100%, similar to the TV area. | pyglet
10/4/2018 11:33 | Berenberg had an ambitious target price of 2040p but they’ve now even nudged that up a bit higher to 2060p - so Peel Hunt’s 1850p should be no problem! | aimingupward2
10/4/2018 11:29 | It is pushing towards £18.50, but would it be today or tomorrow? The momentum is strong, and looks that £17.80 is likely to be hit today. So hold tight and maybe rising to £20 as profits are soaring and more contracts signed on. Higher and higher should go as revenue increases | christh
10/4/2018 10:47 | Are there any upgraded forecasts available for KWS? I love these stratospheric price targets but it would be nice to know what they are based on. | shanklin |
