Yes, nimbo, I agree. It’s certainly exciting and you may be right that, even though not claimed by the company to be so, it may prove to be transformational. They do say, though, that it will be ‘significantly earnings enhancening’ which, I suppose, amounts to pretty much the same thing so I feel confident that the share price will continue it’s heady rise. Further acquisitions can be expected as the industry consolidates which all adds to the encouraging prospects.

It might outperform IQE over 18 months, though longer term I would expect the opposite.

M4ybe - thanks for your post. It’s an encouraging read.

Does KWS harbour any FTSE 250 ambitions? Now sitting around the auto entry level post placing

The answer at the moment is no as they are AIM and not eligible for entry in FTSE 250 whether they qualify by mkt cap or not. As they are in AIM 100 I guess there are some funds and trackers that might be increasing their holdings nevertheless but it will not be the larger trackers of FTSE 100 and FTSE 350 until they change away from the AIM index.

IMO there will be a big boost anyway as this acquisition looks to be hugely earnings enhancing and the market reaction today was more than minor confirmation of this.

i bought in here this morning after the rns. ive watched it for so long and its made me feel stupid for not buying before hand! It looks like they have done it now - snowball has well and truely gathered steam - they'll just sweep up all interesting small companies from this point - have the cashflow and market cap to do it.

A close above the previous intradaddy high around 1483 activates the high tp from earlier in the thread.

edit, just looked it up 1670-1703.
Will double check qualification criteria and recalculate tp once pattern is confirmed

VMC acquisition seems to be pretty meaty.
VMC revenues approx 49m Euros , KWS 's revenues in 2016 96.6 Euros , so that is an increase of 50%
VMC EBITDA 5.4m Euros ; KWS 15m Euros, an increase of 36%

VMC price/sales ratio 1.1 ; KWS price/sales ratio 8.7

all for an increase in EV of around 6%

That sounds like a very good deal to me

today's acquisition ".. expected to be significantly earnings enhancing in the first full year .."

nice to hear - especially that extra word 'significantly'

KWS placing away at 1400p. Very impressive indeed.

A nice big round chart number that should act as support now, if needed. However, it looks as if the price might be ready to run. The market clearly likes today's developments.

OT :hi Shanklin, on hols at present so a brief reply! I agree with aimingupward - all those companies you mentioned look unappealing and overvalued to me. I assume Amati are taking a VERY long-term approach to those investments.
