Is there a possible read through to others in the "sector" ... what about LAM or CIU? Maybe these two (and others) might be ripe for takeover speculation?

Looks like the price is pinned at 590.

I guess some ppl make big money on this, of course not PIs, the ppl knew about the takeover talks, the share price action tells all.

Out this morning to let the share price settled down over the next 2 / 3 days. Then review. Will be interesting to see if it is underpinned by the AMEC offer.

The KENZ RNS pretty robustly resists all incoming approaches and indicates that there won't be any strategic review or similar sops to potential acquirors wanting a cheap acquisition.

And the forthcoming results on 27th August will be good enough to bolster their defences judging by prior trading statements.

Let the bid battle commence :o))

'highly conditional and unsolicited proposal'..I bet the approach was a cash and shares (AMEC) offer but the bar has been raised and other offers will have to start from that base line

Always nice to wake up to 2 offers for one of your companies and where there are 2 there may be more! For whatever reason Kentz is now in play. At the very least, this morning's announcements should result in a more realistic share price from here on in.
