15/5/2019 15:01 | If you still have not heard anything, you could buy a token number of shares in ALTN and ask your broker if you need a letter or proof that you are a shareholder in order to attend the AGM. Before or After the official part of the meeting there is usually an informal one to one chat opportunity. After allowing any genuine ALTN shareholders (if any there) first chance to access relevant directors. You could start with an open question then see if they have any time to reveal anything about KEM. For instance from page 8 of ALTN annual report: "Growth and Evaluation – " "...We frequently evaluate investment opportunities which are presented to us both in Kazakhstan and in the wider Central Asia area and, as part of our long-term business development plan, we will continue to evaluate other potential opportunities going forwards. ..." You could start by asking if they have any acquisition targets in mind, for instance would they consider an all-share merger of ALTN and KEM? Then try asking a couple of quick questions about KEM before letting them get on. I have seen people get away with politely asking off-topic questions at AGMs providing it was not too busy. notice of AGM See page 62 of annual report onwards. "...NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Annual General Meeting of the Altyn plc (the “Company&rdquo 27 June 2019 at 10.30am ..." " ..Entitlement to attend and vote 1. Only those shareholders registered in the Company’s register of members at: 6.00 pm on Tuesday 25 June 2019; or, if this meeting is adjourned, at 6.00 pm on the day two days prior to the adjourned meeting, shall be entitled to attend and vote at the meeting. Changes to the register of members after the relevant deadline shall be disregarded in determining the rights of any person to attend and vote at the meeting .." | stonefold
28/3/2019 00:14 | Jimmy. Well done for updating. I think your letter to the FSA is the best way forward. You have my support. A company cannot disappear with our money just like that. | shareho1der
23/3/2019 07:34 | Stonefold et al. Thank you. To bring everyone up to date I have so far.. E mailed the company several times at the London contact address and also the altyn address- NO RESPONSE I have telephoned the company on numerous occasions at both numbers - NO RESPONSE I have written to the company at the London registered office address - NO RESPONSE I have written to the company at the Kazakhstan head office - the letter went yesterday. Failing a response, I have put together a document which I plan to send to the FSA. I openly admit that I had a very sizeable holding in here based on their upbeat rns's. I am also very surprised at the lack of communication from them as they came across as honorable people......maybe I got that wrong. Did anyone contact the registrars/ Neville Registrars to enquire about our tax position? jl | jimmyloser
08/3/2019 16:04 | Thank you. I would much prefer to chat with the company as they seem a decent bunch. bwdik! | jimmyloser
08/3/2019 15:44 | Try via email to one of the other companies that they also run Sanzhar Assaubayev contact@altyn.uk Registered office address Phone: +44 020 7932 2455 There is also Kazakhstan contact details (not sure how up to date) | stonefold
08/3/2019 13:12 | I have called the number that they have asked you to call....it is unobtainable. I have written to the London address and no reply. I have e mailed the address that they give out not once but twice and no reply. This weekend I shall contact the FSA by letter and ask them for a comment. jl | jimmyloser
05/3/2019 19:22 | Thanks for the reply Jimmy. Let us know how you get on. We may all have to consider a class action. | shareho1der
05/3/2019 18:16 | To-date, I have e mailed twice to the e mail address given out. I have written to the suggested London address and I have not had the courtesy of a reply. As I have a sizeable amount of money in here, I now plan to ring the number in London tomorrow. I am also preparing a file to send to the F.S.A. seeking guidance. In addition I will write to The Sunday Times asking if they can possibly get some answers. I actually believed these guys but I am at a loss as to why they do not communicate. What is especially annoying is that the assets have rocketed in value - see the statement from China Moly. Have we all been taken for a ride? I fear the worst but cling to hope. impo/dyor | jimmyloser
05/3/2019 12:14 | I will post later | jimmyloser
05/3/2019 11:33 | Anyone heard of any development, Jimmy? | shareho1der |
