It's a valid point Tops. The mining webinar is now my cut off point to reduce my shareholding. TW, for all his flaws has actually done some good work with the FCA in reporting fraud in the past few years. He'd have no problem turning on his friend Harry if it came to it but I agree it's difficult in these regions.

UEN worked out of Cyprus. Shafted holders for years - with occasional spikes to keep it all looking honestly tempting and the oil was simply ready to gush...

Then they took it away from shareholders with all kinds of internal problems and wrangling with jurisdiction while paying themselves good sums only to close it all down by breaking some AIM rule about listing a couple of years ago.

Never heard of since. Plenty of agitated shareholders - me not so much as sold out in the main, but Unionhall was their too even earlier so perhaps recognises the pattern here - but impossible to get anywhere with Russia and Cyprus law as it is...

It never is quite the same everywhere. But one constant is plenty of posters who defend the indefensible to the bitter end. Honestly or otherwise, who knows.

At least BAO was painless in comparison as it was all over after 18 months or so and there was a hell of a spike beforehand. It is that latter chance that keeps many here I suspect just as much as the potential that financing is possible.

Clearly, as in so many of these places, it is not easy because it is too corrupt for a small company to manage!

We all feel the same Katsy,it is so frustrating. If you want to go that length though then there is Company office is in Addis Ababa but I think they handle a lot of financing related stuff in the Cyprus office!

So not July then, the lying greedy scum he is. I'm beginning to think it's all a scam. This could be another fraud AIM company where all the UK based investors have no way of knowing the truth unless you can make it out there to these locations and speak to the locals.

Looks like no RNS this week either. I think Rob is right, that mining webinar is now more significant than I first thought, will be keeping a close eye on the further details that they release on it.

It's allowed Rob. Same as it has always been from you mon ami.

I admire the way you dismiss all the other optimistic signs, events, commentaries and happenings when our hopes were dashed as probably just karma ;)

If funding is about to be completed, I'd expect the share price to start heading northwards in the next few days.

Timing itself interesting topical would make sense to big the Ethiopian mining sector up after some kind of announcement maybe Ethiopian blessing on TK go ahead.

Even without that might get some clues towards the Ethiopians attitude towards its mining sector and maybe Kefi. A clue might be who attends if practically no one confirms attendance it might mean any Kefi TK go ahead is delayed along with the canapés and champagne.

The timing would tie in with the end of July or soon after, for finance approval

Did you miss the bit that we are no longer first Rob?

Probably too busy taking notes at the webinar to notice. As for the Ambassador meeting high ranking officials from Ethiopia, that all happened Christmas 2018 with canapés...

We certainly have had enough of these events, don't you think?

Did do a direct reply to the email alert about an hour ago but others might have more luck trying to contact them. It looks though they are still confirming the line up (tbc to be confirmed).

It could be that no one from Kefi can be there due to them not wanting to preempt a RNS whole webinar would be a bit of a damp squib though without the first “cab off the rank” being represented.

One would hope that the EG provides additional evidence of their support for Miners, by ensuring the funding of Kefi before the event.

The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Australia and AAMEG are proud to present a webinar on the following topics:
Mining sector Investment opportunities in Ethiopia
Ethiopian Government Incentives
Mining law and support the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum can provide for Australian Companies.
Ethiopia is the oldest independent country in Africa and is among the most stable countries in the region. The peaceful transition of power to a new Prime Minister in 2012, then again in 2018, has proven the stability of Ethiopia’s political system and parliamentarian form of government.

After PM Abiy Ahmed came to power in April 2018, Ethiopia has undergone unprecedented radical political and economic reform. The recent election has cemented this security.

Join this webinar to hear and see about current investment opportunities in Ethiopia from the Ministry of Mines and active explorers.

Ethiopia is a country rich in natural resources including Gold, Tantalum, Bentonite, Diatomite, Platinum, Potash, Petroleum and many more. The majority of these resources are not significantly mined or developed with an enormous potential for export at a relatively low production cost.

Panellists include:
Ambassador Muktar Kedir, Ethiopian Ambassador to Australia
H.E Takele Umma, Minister for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum
Senior expert, Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (TBC)
Mr. Stephen Miller, Managing Director, Gencor Capital Pty Ltd
Mr. Michael Gumbley, Megado Gold Ltd., CEO (TBC)
Mr. William Witham, AAMEG

Ah, but sticking to Taxloss's theme as to who is culpable, who was giving us (for we are the market too) the idea that we would have funding way back when Rich1e?

I suppose you mean the September deadline from last year? I definitely thought it was happening then too...but it was one of those mirages again, wasn't it?

We will, hopefully, get a juicy RNS announcing funding on the terms we have already had outlined and the market will not believe it. Something about crying with wolves, lol.

Or have a guess at the share price when funding news lands. It touched 3p after auction, on a mere suggestion last time. 4p? 80 million m/cap sound fair

They must be going through a hell of a lot of biscuits in these negotiations. Two days left and that can is kicked again. Maybe we should have sweep stake to guess the next extension.

End of September.
