Cheers scotty.

Mick I’m thinking that we should have had some Saudi update by now. I’m hoping that, as previous ones were ignored by the market, Harry is 'fine tuning' the next one to set Kefi on its way, well and truly, once TK finance is sorted.

TW on Kefi Harry absolutely sure banks are signing up for funding the main banks have done so just a matter of working through smaller ones in the consortium Harry absolutely confident it'll happen this quarter TW thinks he'll get there just a matter of keeping the patience and not worth selling to buy back cheaper as you never know when the RNS will drop and when it happens the shares will roof it (his words not mine)
Quite a bit more said but you get the jest

Just listened to TW bearcast in which he talked about Kefi.
Can't comment on exact details because he's already stated/ threatened a subscriber with copyright etc. I'm happy enough with what i heard, although disappointed that things have dragged on for sooooo long. dyor
Maybe a braver subscriber can be a little more forthcoming with the details in the said cast.

“The main cause of delay for mining projects like Kefi is a lack of coordination between the federal and regional authorities, Begosew Abate (PhD), a mining expert with three decades of experience in the sector, serving various companies as a consultant, said.

Directions given by the federal authorities are often not translated in the regions, according to Begosew.“ Red tape.

Are people not connecting the dots that the EG is both threatening to revoke the licence and seemingly delaying the start of the project? JLW is quite right to be feeling uneasy IMO.

There is plainly something wrong. My gut feeling is Kefi are about to get shafted.

Rich1e,

A gambler hopes to make money if he has good luck.

An investor hopes to make money if he does not have bad luck.

We are investors taking risk, not gamblers. :-)

JL think the recent article must have got the nod unofficially from the Ethiopian side or a least the mining ministry. Suggests the Ethiopians are backing Kefi and TK the spin was that they have saved the project and the company and progress has been accelerated after they got tough with the company.

You can argue over how accurate or not that account is but does suggest the Ethiopians are behind the company and project. If they were going to take the project away would have done it by now as we are well past the date given in a previous leak.

JLW - not to worry if that happens. We have always got Saudi to fall back on after Harry arranges a huge confetti storm to get that one started on it's 10 year odyssey. We are more than a one trick pony....trick being the operative word.

Are you forgetting KSA? It was that alone that I got invested in Kefi, long before EG

Isn't the possible downside here that EG revoke the licence and we are left with zilch zero nothing? That risk is why the delay makes me a little queasy, otherwise I wouldn't care about the timescale.

Katsy, most sophisticated financial models to value any company would be to calculate the discounted net present value of projected future cashflows at a reasonable discount rate for risk. Kefi has spent c$70m USD to get to this point and has huge exploration assets, ready to turn into highly profitable mines to produce hundreds of millions in USD once production begins and billions of USD potentially in the ground across EG & KSA....a 1p share price would value the company at £20m...which would be a seriously stupid undervaluation by any rational model. Alternatively, should TKGM funding be confirmed as final and binding then a 4p, 5p or 6p valuation (given the above is entirely possible)....if it is a 50/50 bet then the value on that basis would be (1p+5p/2) so 3p a share...risk adjusted...just saying...those who are risk averse may well sell....LTI's like myself will continue to hold for the upside potential

I know what binary play means Katsy, I was just curious that you chose to tell us one half of your price predictions and not the other.

Rich1e if funding happens then 3-4p in short term. if not 1p. That's what binary play means. I suspect though that Harry will never announce no funding, he'll just keep dangling the carrot like he has for 11 years now.

Binary play Katsy? What price if funding does happen? I suspect that you’ll say 2p but you could tell us anyway
rich1e
20/8/2021
10:14
This is fast turning into a binary play, If the funding doesn't happen, then I see the share price falling below 1p this is taking into account the need for funding for Harry's salary etc.. Saudi assets appear to be years away, so that's why there is no or little value to them. So it appears all or nothing on TK funding news.

Because we’re gamblers. At least we can always complain about our luck, and Harry, whatever happens they can never take that away from us :-)
