RichJJ Estseon better than me by miles for the number crunching. A few points though expect a gold price around 1900 or higher late June early July..

“All-in Sustaining Costs (including operating, sustaining capital and closure but not including leasing and other financing charges) remain c. US$800/oz. Tulu Kapi's Ore Reserve estimate totals 15.4Mt at 2.1g/t gold, containing 1.1Moz.”

Sounded like several Ethiopian groups were asked to commit in May but Kefi can now claim under the pressure of time to reduce the level of Ethiopian investment so the 65 percent figure for Kefi I would expect to be higher.

“The Project company, Tulu Kapi Gold Mines Share Company (“TKGM”) has submitted to the Ethiopian regulatory authority, for its formal confirmation of compliance as part of the Project finance requirements, an updated detailed Project development and production plan. Whilst final approval of this updated plan is awaited as a condition precedent of the Project financing, TKGM has exchanged formal confirmations with the licencing authority regarding TKGM’s commitment to honour the already outlined Project timetable” kind of puts the ball in the Ethiopian court they cannot simultaneously push for more Ethiopian involvement and at the same time moan that things are taking too long.

So could be looking at Kefi share between 70 to 75 percent rather than 65 percent.
The 200 dollar higher gold price with a greater share of the revenue should mean that kefi can cover the money that would have come from a Ethiopian group easily through the offtake deal.

Rob and Goatherd back in October last year Kefi gave an update re conditional funding which included the statement :-

“In-house estimates indicate an anticipated Project NPV for KEFI of 11p/share (assuming 65% interest and US$1,700/oz gold price). This excludes any other KEFI assets, notably the Hawiah copper-gold-zinc-silver and Jibal Qutman gold deposits discovered in Saudi Arabia.”

Can you please give a personal view using those same parameters of what maybe an update to this from Kefi might now look like assuming funding is delivered shortly?

Also is this share price price prediction quoted is that for post production (as that’s my assumption ) whilst of course the gold price is now a little bit higher at the moment.

Thanks for your help.

Theaviator,

No one link I am afraid.
I started with the list I compiled, and posted, yesterday, which I extracted from the Corica wesite. I then got the market caps from Sharescope for US & UK listed; that was about 5 or so; and then Googled the rest.

ps. I should think it took me 20 to 30 minutes.

With funding seemingly sorted, it should be full steam ahead soon. Let the market view this as it will, I am confident about the mine opening.

From Kefi Q&A;

Q. Why did you replace Ausdrill?

A: Ausdrill has gone through an organizational overhaul. Whilst still a great company and good friends, it was no longer the most appropriate contractor for what we had always required - a conventional schedule of rates arrangement whereby payments by TKGM for the mining fleet and its operational personnel are tied to operational performance.

Q. How long will it take Corica to get up to speed?

A: Corica are already ahead of what Ausdrill was in readiness. We ran this tender over the past nine months and wrapped it up now as we head into finance closing.

Q. We cannot learn about Corica as easily as we could about Ausdrill. Can you help shed light on them?

A: Corica is a private company but well known to the gold miners of Africa, operating on about 15 sites for many leading gold producers.

Safaricom - do they have a mine construction branch? ;)

How about a loan from the World Bank?

See you all at the AGM then...

Cheers Scotty, I wish I was as confident as TW is but I suppose he has a closer relationship with Harry than I do, if that counts for anything.

And does it say how long they take to sign a LOI when being asked to tender?

And from that point, does it say how they proceed with their due diligence, or is that a mere bagotel?

Obviously they are involved in building mines, so were Ausdrill...

As Estseon points out, all who were involved here once have since gone. Let's all hope this group of players will actually play ball to the signing stage and we can see if this share can make shareholders money.

After all, that is the 'aim', is it not?

Below is a list of Countries in which Corico, together with the name of the mine and the name of the owner of the mine.

It looks as if they are acceptable to some big names - Barrick for example. I can see no reason for doubting their ability.

Country Mine Owner

Senegal GCO Eramet
_ _ Mako Resolute
Mali Sadiola Allied Gold Corp
_ _ Gounkoto Barrick
_ _ Syama Open Pit Resolute
_ _ Syama TSF Resolute
Cote d’Ivoire Sissingue Perseus Mining
Burkina Faso Karma Endeavour
_ _ Essakane IamGold
_ _ Somita Nord Gold
_ _ Boungou Endeavour
_ _ Hounde Endeavour
_ _ Waghnion Teranga Resources
_ _ Tongon Barrick Gold
_ _ ITY Endeavour Mining
_ _ Bonikro Allied Gold

On you can see what they do on each site, and the equipment they use to do it with.

I think the reversal today was very likely to have been caused by that rather odd (IMHO) type of trader who follows the mantra "buy on rumour, sell on news".

I believe there are quite a few of them too!
