Kenmare Resources (KMR) have a solid production report out today.
KMR mine (very profitably) heavy minerals in Mozambique, chiefly ilmenite. (No diamonds). They expect positive developments in ilmenite market from Chinese reopening.
Anyway, they are a "peer" company well worth following (though far more developed than KZG).
Another company worth keeping an eye on is Mineral Commodities Ltd. (ASX:MRC). They have two principal operations, a decent beach sands heavy mineral operation located near KZG in South Africa (again no diamonds), and a very troubled loss-making graphite mine in Sweden (which is causing them all sorts of corporate woe).

Excellent news about the payment. I think it's fair to call Hebei a committed purchaser of Aftan now. Looking forward to the receipt of the next tranche at the end of the month.
I'm not mad about being invested in a suspended share. Who is? But, other than that, things are looking up here.
I'll post some research on Heavy Mineral Sands over the next couple of weeks or so. HMS does look like an excellent business opportunity for KZG.

hoping for a stockbox interview at the very least before end of jan

counting down about 7 weeks - 'The Company expects to release its full year results for the Period during February 2023'

'The accelerated payment is a very welcome indication that Xinjian is a highly committed purchaser and would like to take ownership of Aftan sooner rather than later.'

can kazera use the money wisely and in a similar accelerated fashion, to push on ref diamonds/hms with as many as 3 buyers interested?

So putting that all together then, probably no RNS as long as the money arrived as per the last RNS. They would have to issue an RNS if there was an issue and hopefully we'll see an update with an "all good" statement in the results.

Should say, I have no investment at the moment, just tracking it more closely since it became interesting.

"...Nevertheless, the suspended company must still comply with all listing rules applicable to it. This means that shareholders should continue to receive announcements on developments that require announcement under these rules, so you shouldn’t be left completely in the dark..."

hmm, yes, maybe it was RNS'd as received ahead of time being the reason it might be share price sensitive,,, so on-time payments will not be RNS'd,,, who knows, Cheers Wan :-)

Assuming the results aren’t out before the end of Jan they should have also received the next $2m+ by then too.

I’m not sure that the receipts need to be RNS’d. They have after all already RNS’d what is to be paid and when. If an RNS is required they obviously still need to issue one even under suspension but there isn’t any benefit to doing so for the share price while it’s suspended.

That said, would still be good to get confirmation that the payment has been made.

I guess it will be RNS'ed along with the results pre-open on the day they relist.

good question,, as it's share price sensitive information one would expect it to be released prior to recommencement of trading (if it's been received that is) so I'd expect it now really!! come on DE, let's hear it :-) GLA Cheers Wan :-)

I am not sure where this leaves them financially after receiving payments and loans paid off??? Perhaps a presentation in New Year would be helpful

Well, the after hours RNS is good news!
The late results are irritating. Maybe a bit more than that. But as long as the Hebei / Aftan / TVM deal holds together everything will come right. And this news is a very welcome indication that it will.

Oddly, the HMS off take deal doesn't worry me too much. There's an established market for ilmenite and garnet. Somebody will buy it for the right price.
But the sooner they get the separation plant built the better.

As long as the Chinese deal holds together, which it should, then everything should be alright. Cash is king, and the delay in issuing the results will be forgotten about.
But talk about undermining confidence. It's a precious asset!

must say my initial thought was to get out fast,,, however, looking at the situation in the whole I decided to give DE the chance to prove himself,,,, so, I will now have to sit back with fingers crossed the deal/payments pan out and they crack on with the HMS etc..... I think he knows he should say something to shareholders and will do so early Jan,,, we shall see... GLA HNY Cheers Wan :-)

Yep, corporate self-harm.
Last year they postponed the results saying they'd come out in February, but only managed to get them out on 31st March. Hopefully, the delay and suspension won't be as long this time!

Incredible!

Didn't they just provide infmation to the Chinese in order to sell the operation?

And couln't the trading update provide some detail around what has happened to the diamond mining since they became independant of the processing plant?

What's going on with the HMS?

Blimey, I've only just looked back in here and they've already managed to raise more questions than they answer in the course of a few days.

Current cash position is the good news I guess and they have income from the Chinese, but they are burning it while firefighting.
