24/1/2020 15:08 | Not too sure about this 'massive' drop in recent days but KAZ has always been volatile and it is worth remembering that whilst it touched £5.80 earlier this month it was also down to today's levels (£4.70) as recently as early December 2019! just two months ago. So if your agile (or better still 'in the know') lots of dosh to be made from KAZ. Does the recent bout of Asian flu justify the sudden panic? Only time will tell. Can you imagine the British authorities banning travel from say Birmingham, Liverpool or London. Fortunately the Communist Party of China has recourse to a vast army to implement its wishes. Sophisticated economy in some respects but this 'flu outbreak' allegedly started in an unregulated meat market. GLA but the long New Year Chinese holiday doesn't really help does it? | tymedici

15/12/2019 20:01 | Well it looks as though the Chinese Communist Party cannot bring themselves to negotiate a proper agreement because they fear 'losing face' the great Chinese taboo. Doubt whether Donald Trump understands this with his shallow understanding of the historical background and with his 11 year old mentality. The world deserves better. | tymedici
13/12/2019 17:00 | Cool, when? | jwafc
13/12/2019 10:53 | Been buying steadily. Kaz will be over £19 soon. | top tips
05/12/2019 18:06 | Those that are puzzled by the present impasse in the trade war between the US and the Chinese Communist Party would do well to improve their knowledge of the Opium Wars and how these events influence current decisions in China. The Chinese communists will never agree to indignities which place the Chinese Communists at a disadvantage. Of course, the current US administration don't understand how British history influences the current situation, least of all Donald Trump. | tymedici
02/12/2019 08:53 | Only two weeks to wait. That we will know whether the Chinese Communist Party is keen for a Phase 1 settlement or Trump decides to implement the latest tariffs on Chinese imports. | tymedici
20/11/2019 08:40 | If China wouldn't permit North Korea to complete a deal with South Korea and the USA, it is very unlikely that the Communist Party in China will rush to conclude a mini-trade deal with the USA. Especially one that the rest of the world might see as humiliating to China. Blame those who placed China in a privileged position 40 years ago. They have embraced the capitalist system on favourable terms and they are very unlikely to surrender these advantages easily IMO. | tymedici
15/11/2019 15:53 | I always think the renewal of credit facilities is significant news - which should mitigate debt ratio jitters, but I guess for hardened copperheads its just business as usual. ll | loss-leader
14/11/2019 21:50 | kenmitch, thank you | katnick108
14/11/2019 16:42 | katnick bb posters can't answer that. Useful facts are:- 1. KAZ share price usually moves up and down along with other miners. 2. KAZ share price depends on copper price. If that goes up so, usually, does KAZ, and vice versa. 3. China/US trade war news affects the price. 4. So do latest economic figures from China. 5. Long term, pundits are confident of much higher copper price because of electric vehicle demand. We'll see! KAZ share price (along with the other big miners) fell to crazy low price in 2015 mining sector bear market. KAZ fell to 80p and then shot up to around £10. KAZ has been as high as £20 in the past. For now £4 could be a good entry point for a part stake. BUT that assumes copper price at least holding up. Big KAZ plus points are exceptionally low cost copper producer AND with their 2 relatively new mines now fully up and running. So even if copper price crashes KAZ should still be making profits. And when copper price is high they rake it in. A negative is the large debt and the costs of their latest new copper mine. BUT if copper demand as forecast that would put KAZ in very strong position. I've held KAZ for years, and also trading stakes. It's been a great investment overall and could well be so again in time, but shorter term is anyone's guess. Go | kenmitch
