I listened to a Kitco interview with Jetti Resources who are a leaching tech company working with Freeport. Jetti are the same as JLP in that they aim to recover copper from waste. Jetti have just raised $200m to progress their development. Jetti claim to be able to add a sulphide leaching unit to the concentrator.
It appears to me that the copper waste recovery business is a worldwide developing new segment in which JLP has a very good foothold.
The question is will JLP work with miners or will they continue developing and owning their own.
These days it is the software companies that get the better valuations: being bogged down with trying to own the the facilities is harder work.
Licensing the software on a per lb produced basis seems to be a real winner.
Let's ask Leon how things are progressing.

Next numbers not due until mid May but they've been running over 2 weeks early on the last two so maybe end of April.
I still don't think we are 'overdue'any news just yet. If they did conclude the IRH deal exactly on the middle of March then we would expect a few days before the RNS would hit. I'd expect this week at some point but even then I'm not worried.
As Pshevlin said, the IRH deal is icing on the cake really and the share price will react far more on Roan completion - that's the one we want and end of April is getting closer.

If you want to hear about copper and our margins vs LME, potential volumes etc. then the Sunday roast interview on 'Mufulira Slag Project update' (from Nov I think) is brilliant (it's on the JLP website).
Also, the company presentation from Nov 23 is quite good to listen back on. Things have progressed - we didn't even have an owner for Mopani at that point.

Have confidence - buy more if you can :-) Not financial advice obvs.

Price mainly down a bit because of all the options last week. There has been plenty of buying on here and large numbers at that . 715000 (edited) today probably also related to the options. If news is actually due I can't see why anyone would sell at this point. Re HUM, absolutely no correlation. Hopefully we will get an update from LC this week if Charles gets him on his broadcast.

News is overdue again. That is why the price is declining. Cu and PGMs are up but here we are. Pretty sure that's nothing to do with my posts. In the past, we were more relaxed, but since the infamous "death, water and power" RNS, we are rightly less trusting. Simply put, no news is not necessarily good news.

Can't be far off the next set of numbers and, unless there has been some major problem (which we would/should have been made aware of), that in itself should have a positive impact on the share price

Agreed. The real short term drivers are delivery of additional processors at Thutse and getting Roan/Sable up and running. These alone warrant a significant rerate. I think the IRH deal is almost a phase 2 of more Copper growth.

Another few little positive mentions on the roast yesterday.
Bit's throughout I think but the main bit around 1:05:50 for a couple of minutes. Just mentioning the copper price increase and the positive impact on JLP

We are in danger of talking down the current share price on the basis of a deal that may be delayed but which is not necessary to indicate that the current level of the share price is laughable. Any delay is of course a gift to those who want the share price down but if we remain in thrall to the deal we are missing all the other things that are in the pipeline that are not dependent on it and are share price enhancing. Perhaps we could have a little more positivity on here if those who are heavily invested (including you froggers) don't wish to see us back in the low 5's. Get a grip!

Seems like a lot of interest in companies that can unlock the full potential of Copper deposits. Is this a driver for the IRH tie up with Jubilee ?hTTps:www.kitco.com/news/article/2024-03-15/startling-tech-unlocks-copper-mine-waste-jetti-resources-gets-backing-bmw

TH: "Cutting production and extending maintenance shutdowns would help to ease tightness in concentrate supply over the coming months, he said.

“But it’s important to note that there are around 1.7 million tons per year new ex-China smelter projects that is expected to come online in the second half, which will put more pressure on global concentrate supply,” Peng added."

The Chinese smelters have to date lowered their refining prices as they are all chasing much smaller copper concentrate to refine. Their charges have dropped substantially as they have been trying to keep their refineries going.
The refiners problem is that refinery capacity has grown substantially over the last year or two but the availability of concentrate has contracted so they have dropped their charges to attract business but it's dog eat dog and refineries are facing shutdowns. A large copper mine in Panama unexpectedly closed this year creating an
even worse supply of concentrate than expected.
The Chinese refineries are all pulling their maintenance forward to try to avoid permanent closures.

Should be like a snowball rolling down hill once everything promised is up and running. Projects after that could be anything and anywhere. Management will have to inprove though and some big names may need to be drafted in.

Definitely wouldn’t get an answer to that Kenny. He did say that once roan is up and running they Will be able to give next years guidance (around May time). Given copper alone should go from 5850 to 25000 tonnes I’d expect a big rise then. It should also make it easier to map out how long to get to that target

So, I've written some questions and grabbed any from people on here to send to Charles for his possible interview.
Point 7 on this list from Tim Higginson - excuse my ignorance but I can't find when Leon talked about this (although I vaguely remember something) and I think we'd need to reference it. Can you point me to it?

Can people just tell me their top 4 numbers so I have a feel for what's most important. If you have a different burning question then fire it over but as I said before, if the interview with Charles happens then he may only be able to get a few questions in on top of his stuff. Also, if you know the answer to any of these I can remove them too.

1.Can you update investors on progress at Roan and are you on schedule to be commissioned and fully ramped up by the end of April (i.e producing 1000+ tonnes per month/ 13000 tonnes per annum)?
2.Sable upgrade is scheduled to take place in Q3 CY2024 (July to Sept). How long will it be before it is running at full capacity (i.e approx. 1300+ tonnes per month / 16000 tonnes per annum)?
3.Has the waste rock project acquisition with IRH been concluded and what are the next steps/timelines to look out for?
4. You’ve talked about two additional 50,000t per month modules to enhance Thutse’s capacity. What are the timelines for this?
5.On 7th December 2023, over 22 million warrants were issued according to the latest interim results document. Who were these issued to and for what purpose, and why were the details of these not declared at the time?
6.We understand that Roan is running at partial capacity during the upgrade but production numbers for copper of 600t and 300t per month have been mentioned. Can you confirm the volumes we are generating from Roan and Sable at this time?
7.The cost of production via EW (Electrowinning) is around $2000 per tonne against roughly $4000 per tonne via refinery. Leon noted some time ago that we have made a link up with a chemical company to move this down the road, but we have had no further information as to what is being planned.
8.We have heard of some reports from Zesco of possible impending load shedding in Zambia. Can you confirm that Jubilee is protected from this following the work done last year and if so, is there a cost implication?
