Would rather have sold tjate and used the cash for a mega copper deal. As discussed in the TW interview last year. When asked about using a tjate sale as a special dividend.

Leon replied if in 2020 money would be spent in Zambia, if later we will have got all our capex in place so potentially a dividend.

The mm dynamics on L2 have changed slightly. Cantors seem to have disappeared. Maybe down to the recent arrival of Marex as a market maker. As one of the global leaders in commodities market making, it'll be interesting to see if they are as active as Cantors were.

With a relatively new pool of IIs, I somehow doubt that Leon et al will want to risk upsetting them by a dilutive placement. My guess is that cash will be deployed. Lets face it, they(JLP) are likely to have quite a surfeit of it.

Placing to fund a future deal ?

I would never say never with Jubilee and CB - but it would have to be of mega proportions to warrant one, bearing in mind the cash being thrown off operations currently, courtesy of the appreciation in the price of PGMs.

So I don't expect a placing.

The clue will be the share price action - if we get a moribund/stagnant share price regardless of significant buying in the market - then I would become suspicious, we haven't seen that ATM - so fingers crossed, what ever is going on behind the scenes, and I sense there is something brewing, besides Leon's tea - it's not involving an equity raise.

Time will tell, meanwhile back at the ranch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The share price goes north.

The Ask-price on the jse is currently 3.60, last seen in May 2011...if it trades today at this level

robers98 .. the point was if there is a big deal in the background then all of the cashflow is already tied up in these projects and therefore if there is something big bubbling up it’s probably going to need a substantial placing . If you’ve been in JLP long enough you will understand this is not something the directors would not be worried about doing .

Roan and elephant have been stated several times by leon as fully funded by bank finance and cash. Roan progress in stages with the rise in copper prices looking good.

I agree with the mood of several on here ... no real news flow of late ... imo this could mean very big news coming . We already know the financials are going to be tasty and the basket has increased since . I just hope it doesn't involve another huge placing
