For example, today they have tightened the spread trying to make some business because volume is low.

They dont need skullduggery, just work the margins like Platty says. Good morning Avi.

There isn't a penny share thread on ADVFN where avatars don't suggest that the market makers are up to some form of skulduggery or other.

Frog's correct.. MM's are primarily arbitrage accountants.. Occasionally they'll run a book if the company has a placing, options etc to offload or if a private client wants to add or sell but it's all just margin trading for them

Hi Ken, the market makers only move the bid and ask to reflect demand from buyers and sellers. They are not interested in the prospects of the company. Once we show a couple of periods with growth and increase in profits then the herds will hopefully arrive. Cheers

This really should be pushing higher now.

Metals doing well
General markets looking great

SLP continuing its ascendancy

Maybe we do need the next financials to get us moving. Although before covid 19 JLP were romping ahead in continued year on year increase in revenue. So with JLP back in near full stride, then we should be making gains and not remaining static.

Yes, only 9 deaths per one million pop in SA compared with 552 deaths in UK per mil.

So at mo I don't see a second lockdown in SA coming

---------------------------------------

This is why the announcement that mines and transportation will come out of restrictions and open back up was so important.

If there was any chance of a second lockdown then this would not have happened.

Hence part of the reason I saw that as good news (others did not)

With the life expectancy in SA significantly lower than in Europe . The virus will not have many victims.

Death rate is important.SA has a much lower average age over other developed countries.26 versus Italy's 44 for example, it's very unlikely to be the same killer as seen in the rest of the world imo

1673 new cases reported yesterday. Active cases also rising.

Lock down relaxed too early, though understandably, for the sake of economics.

Second wave of C19 infection has arrived in SA.

Second lock down soon?

Going to possibly take some more financials in an RNS before we get some upward movement on the SP? We all “think” the business has turned the corner and making serious money but it seems it needs to be in black and white and nailed to the skulls of the market makers before they can see the value !

What frustrates is acknowledging that JLP is throwing off so much free cash we could be down at 1 1/2 X value and then not agreeing that shareholders should see some of it! Unbelievable!

After listening to Colin blathering on about XTR for what felt like an eternity, he was just about to blather on about JLP, but I had to pause whilst I was in a meeting, when I went back, I have to pay again! It's only a quid but I'm not sure I could take any more

Very non plussed by the interview. Seems to fail to understand that shareholders are not being rewarded. And may possibly never be?
