You two can argue as much as you like, but one thing in Deme's favour is that, unlike you, he doesn't seem to feel the need to resort to foul language to reinforce his point.

Well the platinum price was doing just fine before the virus.

In fact it was racing ahead.

I would rather see the world economy firing up with renewed demand for pgms, than worry about a little swing in the price because miners are opening back up. The same miners that were open when the pgms were soaring.

PS, yes I know what JLP do, stop being so sarcastic and hateful.

So you stick to your thinking that JLP will do well if mines stay closed and the pgm price inches up a few dollars.
I will stick to my thinking that business and transport reopening will produce the demand needed to get the prices where they should naturally be.

Perhaps those who are struggling to provide a healthy framework for their kids, could send them to school with the key workers first and then no one would have to drive 268 miles again.

Schools have been open all the time for vulnerable children and those of key workers. Presumably the media have their own reasons for keeping that quiet.

100% It' important to remember that the strategy from the outset was to protect the NHS.Perhaps if we hadn't have had generations of underfunding we might have been better off now... Economy wise

I don't really think they care how many people die from this now just as long as the NHS isn't overwhelmed . . . . they see the economy and reducing the length / depth of the recession as more important.

Absolute madness. Kids back to school, shops opening, beaches crowded no controls but I can’t see my 2 grandchildren in my garden 2 metres apart

---------------------------------------------

It does go against logic, YET if You look around the rest of the world there seems to be a pattern.
The virus spikes for a week or two then gradually declines into numbers that are acceptable to the locality.

Even the UK scientists are now saying that their potential vaccine may only have a 50% chance of success (down from 80%) due to the virus disappearing so fast, that theu do not have enough sick people to test it on.

Yep, think economics are taking centre stage. They just cannot afford to keep the economy locked down any longer.

Agree, for the last 5 days new cases have been at or over a 1000/day.

The graphs show the new cases as a rising curve.

I'd have thought tightening of the restrictions rather than relaxation. BWTFDIK.

Plat Hunter can't wait for level 2. It means the reopening up of the caravan park and the reopening up of his number 2 to all his customers and management of jubilee.

Because it suggests that the chances of SA going back into lockdown are slim to none, if they are already planning on getting all mining operations back online.

simple really.

Why would mines opening back up be good for JLP deme?
